Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Ehlers.
Christian, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was originally licensed in 1998 and worked with Century 21 All Realty in Torrance, California. In early 1999, I obtained my broker’s license and started working on my own. Since that time, we’ve represented a range of clients from first time home buyers to sophisticated investors. I’ve also taken the time to leverage my experience into a Contractor’s License, which helps me identify potential issues to supplement the property inspection report, as well as identify potential areas for cost-effective property improvements.
Although I do advertise, most of my business is referral based and comes from clients who had great results from my representation.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Every road has some speed bumps and potholes. These can be external (such as market downturns) or internally caused (individual missteps), but the greater the challenge, the greater the opportunity to rise to the occasion and distinguish my services by demonstrating the ability to adjust dynamically and to display my tenacity and resilience.
Ehlers Real Estate – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Ehlers Real Estate is a boutique real estate firm.
For clients, my goal is to make each individual feel like (s)he is our only client.
For the agents that work under me, my goal is to increase their abilities so they can be successful. I want to pass on as much knowledge as I can while supporting them on each transaction.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success as reaching resolutions where my clients feel they achieved the best possible result. If they don’t feel that way, there was a failure – whether it was in the education portion of the representation, or in the communication, or representation.
At the end of the day, making the client feel comfortable with the process is the most important part of what I do.
