Meet Chuck Glaster of Glaster Mobile Detailing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chuck Glaster.

Chuck, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my business (Car Detailing) three years ago, I was pretty much just trying to make some extra money as a side gig. I promoted solely on Instagram; it allowed me to grow my business pretty fast, while also creating clientele. I started detailing out of the trunk of my Chevy Impala I had limited supplies, not many resources and pretty much no help at all. After a year my father gave me one of his work vans & business picked up, just recently I upgraded to a more commercialized van and business is running very smoothly.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been as smooth as I’d like, but I know that only builds character. From working out of a sedan, some of the challenges included not being able to perform jobs unless I was at someone’s home, because of no water source, and no electricity. I had to turn down a lot of jobs because of the inability to complete them, it was very difficult but the transition to the van came mighty helpful.

After having the van my father gave me for about two years, it was broken into and stolen, I’m a firm believer in everything happens for a reason, because after that incident I was blessed to be able to buy a newer van & all top of the line equipment.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Glaster Mobile Detailing story. Tell us more about the business.
To the naked eye, my business is simply a mobile car wash/detailing service. But to me it’s much more, it is the idea of putting smiles on customer’s faces after a long week or after a destructive child owns the backseat, the idea that I can improve something of theirs, something that they spend a lot of time in, something they worked hard to get, from the most expensive car to the least expensive. I treat every car with the same care and detail. I am most proud of my transition from, treating this business as a supplement income, to it being a primary.

I would say what sets me apart from other companies is my creativity. We are more than a car wash service, we give back to the community, we supply jobs to our youth(Dennis & Uriah), but most all we are displaying positivity in our community.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I believe that my business has been a fortune of good luck since I started with the amount of attention & popularity I’ve received. Not to mention the quality of work we uphold. I am forever in debt of my Family, friends & followers for their outpouring love and support.
