Meet Aminul Islam

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aminul Islam.

Aminul, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always interested towards design and animation, since I was a kid, first I started as a hobby and I posted some experimental abstract design at social media and got some positive feedback which made me interested a career in graphic design and animation.

After a few years of learning and experiments, I got an opportunity to work at a television as a motion graphic designer and it was really fun to work and watch my work on television with million people, which is made me more passionate to push myself further in industry, later I become a specialist graphic designer. I had the opportunity to creating concept, storyboarding, styleframing and animating

One of the great breakthroughs in my career is, I got a gold award in Broadcast design category from International Design Award (IDA15) Where more than 1000 designer participated from 55 different country’s, after that I got opportunity to work in the United States as an extraordinary artist category, now I living Los Angeles and working on some interesting project’s.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s was really challenging, working in USA as an artist i had to show some achievements that recognizes me nationally and internationally in this industry.

Also, understanding the client demand and using latest technology to solve the creative problems, new culture, new people and new work process wasn’t really smooth since i moved here from my home country Bangladesh.

but it’s fun to taking new challenges at the same time, my passion force me to taking new challenges.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m a Motion graphic designer and Animator. I solve creative problem for television, film and digital media, I’m involve with creative process at different stage for conceptualization, storyboarding, animating and comping. Currently i’m working on Television Rebrand, Show packaging, Film Title and a personal film project.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
When I was started thinking about a career in this industry my elder brother Nasir and my Mom always keep supporting me which is greatly helped, Also, I had some opportunity to work with some great people, As a mentor Elizabeth j Steinberg she is an Emmy Award winner art director. I had opportunity to work with her for Microsoft and Aeroviornment I learned a lot during these projects. Paul Brodie managing creative director of Troika design, now I’m working with him for some of very interesting projects also I have completed Super Bowl53 graphics package for CBS with him, I like to thanks all of my ex-colleagues and teammates as well

My family always supporting me what I loved to do, my friends and some well-wisher deserve credit for where I’m now.
