Today we’d like to introduce you to Amir The Amiracle.
Amir, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I learned how to play guitar at age 12 when I saw another kid attract girls with it. Lugging my 4 foot long Casio keyboard around had me looking like a nerd with buckteeth and a flat-top. I was always goofy, but my confidence grew the better I became at guitar.
All through high school, I spent my time practicing guitar, smoking weed, and completely confused by girls. In college, I was playing in a funk rock band with an OG crip fresh outa prison going by the name of Nardy. Nardy was my best friend and mentor for years as I developed as a guitarist, songwriter, and singer. Years passed before I fell out of obsession with my music career.
My crowning achievement was creating my funk, rock, comedy band the Sweet Sweet Laxatives. We made an incredible album called ‘Bombs Away’ that’s still available online everywhere.
Although my music career never saw any real success, it did get me on a tour with a reggae band to Taiwan.
Ironically, by the time I was living the rock star dream in Taiwan, I had already caught the comedy bug. I knew then in Taiwan, I would commit all my time to standup comedy because the laughs had me hooked like a crack fein.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My art stems from being a goofy, arrogant, insecure, idiot. Ive learned from most of my mistakes but Im not done making new ones. Plus I’m mixed race, African-American & Lebanese/Syrian. I’m using my guitar in a way no other guitar comic has. Being original is the most important thing to me in comedy besides being funny.
I love creating songs unique to every audience and specific people I connect with in the crowd. Giving the audience a joyful, giddy experience and a peek into my world is what I do. Telling stories with a musical twist makes my style special.
My message is to pursue your dreams, even if it’s the wrong one. Hard work and persistence will get you on track.
I hope people take away from my performance that young brothas can make amazing guitar players and guitar isn’t just for the white kids.
People should know my comedy is evolving every year. The world is going to fall in love with me one day, but till then, catch me while my ticket prices are still free.
Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
The biggest challenge facing artists today is most artists don’t understand how to be realistic. Being a dreamer is great, and you should never let that go. Being self-aware, patient with your career, and brave to be unique on stage is crucial. Believe YOU WILL succeed by doing something, anything, towards your goals & dreams every day. Don’t worry about how well your friends and peers are doing because it will drive you mad. We all have our own path, and success is built in steps over years of preparation and practice. Most artists think this shit is easy.
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
People can see my dates, all my videos, music, pics, and contact info at www.amirtheamiracle.com.

Of course, the best support is to attend my live shows when I’m in your town! God bless. Good luck to everyone. One Love y’all
