Meet Anna Tidball, Dawn Palomino and Jules Hebert of The Yellow Door Boutique Spa in Cheviot Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Tidball, Dawn Palomino and Jules Hebert.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We met at a spa we had all worked at for several years previous to opening up our own location.

We were all ready for personal growth and a new challenge in our careers, so we sat down together and shared each one of our specific visions for what we wanted to create in a boutique spa.

Once we had our plan we came together and implemented each person’s dream into a reality. The result ended up better than we could have ever imagined. We ended up creating a bright, warm, cozy and laid back spa.

We enjoy working for ourselves and being a group of women who empower each other and other people. We couldn’t be happier to be living out our dream.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have been ups and down through the process, but with that has come great reward. We believe that in order to get what you want, you have to face your challenges head on and work straight through them, rather than trying to find ways around your problems.

We have faced struggles financially as well as struggles in keeping relationships we made in the previous place we worked, but despite having gone through this, there is not one moment we feel that was not worth getting to where we are now.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Yellow Door Boutique Spa – what should we know?
Our boutique spa offers services in spray tans, waxing, and facials and we are well known for each service we perform.

Our facials have quickly become a popular service, especially the mystic facial where our intuitive facialist and brow artist, Dawn gives a cleansing facial while simultaneously providing a spiritual reading for the client.

As far as our waxing department goes, Brazilian waxing is our most popular service. Anna and Jules are well known for doing a meticulous job and for getting you in and out in 15 min. We are sensitive to the fact that this can be a very uncomfortable situation for many, so we make sure to make this the least intimidating 15 min possible.

Our spray tanning is another popular beauty service, in particular for clients who have an event to go to. The spray tan is done manually vs standing in a room where the spray tan is produced out of a machine attached to the wall. We prefer this method as it allows for a more detailed, evenly distributed result.

We are very passionate about the environment we provide for our clients. We work hard to present a laid back, nonpretentious atmosphere where people feel like they are coming to catch up with a friend. We like to connect and build relationships with each one of our clients.

We are not your typical spa, we like to have fun and let loose over at The Yellow Door!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
We think all of our friends and family deserve credit for our success. Without their support and encouragement, we wouldn’t have been able to get to the place we are at now.

Our loyal clients are also people who make everything possible. If it weren’t for their dedication to our spa, we would not have a business to run.

We also appreciate everyone who gives up feedback about our business, it allows us to mold into a unique place where everyone is happy.
