Meet Culver City Makeup Artist: Michelle Gani

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Gani.

Michelle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Since I was in high school, whenever I and my friends are going out for a party, they always asked me to do their makeup, and I always feel happy when I see them look pretty. so after I graduated from college, I took makeup course for a year and I love it since then I’ve been doing makeup as my profession until now.

Has it been a smooth road?
I am a very perfectionist in terms of doing my makeup job, I always want all my clients to feel satisfied after I did their makeup,
My clients are very important to me, so Listen to what they want and to do exactly like what they want are very challenging sometimes, but it makes me learn.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I want to open my own makeup studio.

Let’s go backward a bit – can you tell us about the most trying time in your career?
Well, I Can’t think of anything that makes it “Hardest time in my career”, because no matter what obstacle that I go through, I take it as a “learning time”.

Do you ever feel like “Wow, I’ve arrived” or “I’ve made it” or do you feel like the bulk of the story is still unwritten?
Whenever my clients feel satisfied with my work, that’s when I felt ‘wow’
