Today we’d like to introduce you to Carly Kaplan and Tarreyn Van Slyke.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We have worked together on the Nickelodeon social media team for the last few years, where we quickly became best friends. Our roles in the company creating digital media content combined with our personal dynamic created a seamless trajectory to the creation of our series. We both come from creative and performance backgrounds, so hosting, producing, and writing the show has been an exciting natural next step.
Has it been a smooth road?
While the production of “Inside Nick” is endlessly entertaining, there are always hurdles when it comes to creating a series! (Even if those hurdles are learning dance steps or washing slime out of our hair!) However, we are very lucky to have constant support from our team at Viacom Digital Studios and Nickelodeon.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Inside Nick – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
For “Inside Nick” we are in front of the camera as the show’s hosts, and the minds behind the lens as both writers and creative producers. We are incredibly proud of our first season and the variety of Nick content we got to share with fans. For Season 2 we’re looking forward to applying everything we’ve learned so far and pulling the curtain further back on everything behind the scenes at Nickelodeon.

Season 2:
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and the least?
Both of us are devoted Angeleno transplants and have a shared love of exploring the city. There is something new to discover every day, and as this series proves for us, opportunity is around every corner. The thing we like the least? Finding parking.
