Meet Carla Romo of Dating & Relationship Coach – Speaker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carla Romo.

Carla, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up with domestic violence, and it paved the way for me to be in codependent relationships where I was never fully living for myself. I used outside validation for my worth. I believed if I was liked and needed, I was worthy. I felt broken and that I needed to be fixed, so I tried to fix others. Ultimately, this cost me my happiness, peace of mind and serenity.

My reality check came blaring at 24 years old. I was in an abusive relationship, and I was tired of living a life of self-doubt, unworthiness and not being enough. I saw two paths shining brightly upon my face: continue living a life of unworthiness and self-sabotage or live fearlessly with self-love and purpose. Through trusting in the universe that I was not alone in this journey, I chose the relationship with myself creating space for self-love and purpose.

My transformation was so impactful that I wanted to help inspire others who struggle in relationships. I own a dating & relationship coaching and speaking business. I help empower women who feel stuck and stagnant build purpose and confidence in their break-ups, dating life & relationships through 1:1 client, workshops and talks.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Sure, there have been moments of turbulence. Although the biggest obstacle, I have faced in entrepreneurship is patience. Maktub is one of my favorite words. It’s Arabic and means “it is written.”

I truly believe that any struggles I face whether it be in my business or personal life are there for a reason. That whatever it is that is occurring is happening for me and not against me.

Dating & Relationship Coach – Speaker – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a certified dating & relationship coach and a motivational speaker. I empower women who feel stuck and stagnant build purpose and confidence in their break-ups, dating life & relationships. I have clients, speak and host workshops all over the U.S.

I specialize in self-love, co-dependency, and communication. The bottom line is that I help my clients discover within their missing piece to the puzzle so they can be fully fulfilled and bring their “A-game self” to intimate relationships.

I get the most fulfillment when I coach, speak or host workshops. It makes me so happy to watch the “aha moments” of self-discovery unravel for my clients and audience. Being a part of that process is gold. I freaking love it!

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Selling out multiple events/workshops that I have co-hosted for women in Los Angeles.

This makes me so proud because I love being able to help as many women as possible to grow and transform. I truly feel I am living my life’s purpose through this.
