In many years of hard training as a ballet dancer starting at the age of three and continuing through her study’s at the world famous opera in Vienna, Laura learned the necessity of discipline, hard work, and talent involved to create outstanding results.
Laura brings all that into her work, her passion and love for fashion. With the precision of a Swiss watch and the elegance of a dancer, Laura Basci creates her own vision of colors, fabrics, and beauty. Laura Basci is a Swiss fashion designer based in Los Angeles.
She made a name for herself delivering flawless fits on countless award shows, red carpet events, music videos, photo shoots, TV & movie productions. She designed, and handmade original looks for celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Felicity Huffman, Olivia Munn, Marisa Tomei, Saoirse Ronan and many more.
Laura Basci worked with Tom Ford for his fashion show in LA; she was flown to Baku to fit the first lady for the opening and closing of the European Games and designed and custom dressed Bruno Mars and band for a super bowl performance for the house of Versace.
Top designers, stylists, and celebrities have made Laura Basci one of the most in demand and upcoming names for modern couture and fashion design in Los Angeles and the rest of the world.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The world of fashion I experience is a very fast moving and demanding one, a world where we need to constantly adapt to new situations, new deadlines and unexpected challenges.
Achieving highest standards of artistry and design in such an environment is per se never a smooth ride. But I believe that the fights and struggles we are facing are our best teachers and if we find a way to manage, they make us stronger, and they ultimately become part of who we are.
