
Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Guirguis.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always been deeply involved in music and sound production from a young age. I graduated from the Art Institute of California in Los Angeles where I received my Bachelors of Science in Audio Engineering. From there, I found my way to the luxurious (St. Regis) Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California where I started working in the field of Audio Visual to master my craft.
Throughout the years, I spent working at the Monarch Beach Resort, I’ve done hundreds (if not thousands) of events from weddings, corporate events to award ceremonies and everything in between. I was always drawn more to weddings and the joy it brings couples on this special day. So after five years, I took a leap of faith and decided to start my own business – Sound For Ceremony.
A mobile entertainment company that caters to weddings and provides professional DJs, live music entertainment, audio visual and lighting. I work directly with each client, and my number one priority is to ensure they are confident that they chose the right company to work with before their event even begins and fully satisfied with the results when it’s over. We deliver a fulfilling experience that our clients will never forget.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s a difficult task to start your own business. Especially at the beginning, there’s a lot of bumps in the road. Mistakes are going to be made, but the important thing is that you learn from them. When you start the journey, you have a path that you envision, but pretty soon that path takes you through unexpected turns. How you handle, it is really what counts. You must learn to adapt.
Fortunately, I’ve never had a bad experience with a client since starting my own business, and they’ve all been satisfied with the results of my service. But that doesn’t mean it’s always going to be smooth sailing. It’s really just how you prepare yourself. I always strive to push myself and raise the bar.
Sound For Ceremony – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Sound For Ceremony is a mobile (music) entertainment company that specializes in weddings, engagement parties, anniversaries and other special ceremonies. We provide professional DJs, live music performers, Audio Visual and lighting.
I am the owner and operator who is meeting with every client and behind the mixing board of every special event making sure I give them the best listening experience. I want to see people smiling and dancing having the time of their lives.
What makes us stand out from the competition is our niche. We know our market, we specialize in weddings rather than spread ourselves thin in other industries. That’s why we provide extraordinary service to our clients because we know our market, our clients and the value we bring them.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Looking back, I would have to say the proudest moment is seeing how many weddings and ceremonies I’ve been a part of. How many people I’ve been able to bring happiness to on the biggest day of their lives doing what I do.
