Meet Maxine Mirsakov of MASONgrey in West Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maxine Mirsakov.

Maxine, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Growing up in Los Angeles, I was always immersed in the fashion industry. My mom and grandmother were both pattern makers, and I loved going to work with them to watch and learn. I even started as a fit model at the age of 12, learning about the construction of garments hands on.

I took a break from fashion to pursue another interest of mine: beauty. I always felt like they went hand in hand. One day, while I was working on a celebrity client, I fell in love with her robe – only to find out it was $1,500. *ugh* Trying to find a more affordable version that I liked just as much proved to be very difficult. Just like that, an idea was born! Cute, comfortable, affordable robes made in LA.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting your own company is never easy, so without a doubt, there has been a few bumps along the way. But with every bump comes a new lesson and I try not to let it discourage me. At the end of the day, would I say its all worth it? Absolutely!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the MASONgrey story. Tell us more about the business.
MASONgrey is an American loungewear line with exclusive designs inspired by the modern, sexy, and stylish women of Los Angeles. At MASONgrey, we celebrate timeless elegance and femininity by offering unique designs carefully tailored to the highest standard.

Instead of making collections, we make individual pieces and prints that we feel fill an important gap in every woman’s life. We use the finest quality fabrics to ensure ultimate comfort and durability. Passionate and uncompromising with our brand experience, we pride ourselves on attention to the smallest detail.

MASONgrey is made in Los Angeles, and our fabrics are curated in small batches to guarantee the finest cut and quality. Our robes are designed for ALL woman. We’ve worked hard so that our silhouettes combined with our comfortable, stretchy fabric fit and flatter all body types.

Everything is machine washable making them super low maintenance.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I believe women want to feel good about themselves all the time- from dusk until dawn. I think the industry is moving towards elevating your everyday essentials. A woman should feel just as good at the end of her day, relaxing at home with a mask on, as she does when she puts on her favorite outfit to slay the day.

As for design- I feel that fun prints will never go out of style!
