Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenette Serrins.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
When I was 18 years old, I opened a day spa with my mom, running it, along with performing most of the body treatments. I was committed to getting my degree in Speech Communication at the same time, as that was my passion: public speaking and writing.
With a BA and licenses in aesthetics, manicuring, medical and Ayurvedic skin care I began educating for Aveda, knowing that I would open my own healing center soon.
In 2005, Being in LA was born and has evolved throughout the years from different healing and beauty modalities. Today, Being in LA is now the acclaimed skincare boutique where A-list celebrities and artists come to receive the ultimate in results-oriented anti-aging treatments, the natural way. 😉
Being in LA is also the home of my skincare line, Jenette All Natural Skin Care, launched in 2012 and growing strong.
We sell out of Bila, online and selective spas and boutiques around the world.
Educating on healthier ways to take care of your skin and our planet is my passion these days! 😉
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Always obstacles, however, those make you stronger, right?
Biggest challenge is always needing to be “on” and finding the perfect balance in order to be a great boss, formulator, developer, mom, and CEO.
I think the most important lesson for me here is to take time for ME, take time for my family and friends and when I’m in alignment with all of that, running both companies do not seem to be that much of a challenge! 😉
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Being in La and Jenette All Natural Skin Care – what should we know?
My skincare boutique, Being in LA has quadrupled in business since adding my skincare line, Jenette All Natural Skin Care a couple of years ago.
That being said, my main focus is expanding and growing my skincare line to have more of an online presence and break into more exclusive green luxury boutiques and spas around the world!
In addition to running my spa, I see an A-list clientele and I am always formulating and making new products! Everything is fresh and made weekly!
I am known as the “ingredient guru,” educating my clients as well as my staff each day on the importance of keeping their beauty products clean and cancer free… I take each individual where they are at and provide healthier solutions that give real results. With a true commitment to my skin care and regular facials, I can transform anyone’s skin.
I am most proud of my beauty without compromise approach to the treatments we offer at Being in LA as well as the skin care products I formulate. Every ingredient is sourced consciously and with integrity!
I think the biggest thing setting me apart from other skincare companies is that I am the one developing the formulas and along with my team, making each and every one! 😉
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Again, my commitment to living a cancer-free life contributes to my success of running two thriving businesses that educate and encourage people to live a healthier life.

My approach to creating healthy skin care involves preventing the inflammation process from killing our live cells, which ultimately is the leading cause of aging! Behind every product, there is much thought and research put into making the entire line healing on a cellular level. I take great pride in this, it is my passion, my life, my offering to the world.
