I’m so very proud of creating my own line of skin care! glSKIN is a comprehensive line of skin care including everything necessary for virtually EVERY skin type. I have worked with a local lab and esthetic collective to create a line that can support young skin, the beginning of graceful aging, acneic skin and even sensitive skin. By cutting out the “middle man” I am able to provide superior products with exceptional ingredients at a moderate price point. Cleansers range from 27-44, toners around 28, moisturizers from 30-66 and serums and specialty products from 66-150. I recommend a specialized consultation which includes a mini-treatment.
Also since January of 2017 I was certified by Face Reality ™. As a CERTIFIED ACNE SPECIALIST, I am able to treat every grade of acne from mild, non-inflamed acne to hormonal acne to more severe, cystic acne. My ACNE BOOT CAMP is the perfect way for women, men and teens to start the journey to clearer skin. When a client puts their skin in my hands (literally and figuratively) they have all the experience of the Face Reality ™ program behind their treatments. I’d like your readers to know that acne is NOT their fault. It is an inherited tendency, which can be easily managed without scary, toxic drugs and treatments. My advanced education allows me to coach my clients to clear skin!
Likewise, I have become the “go to” esthetician in Westwood for, what I like to call, “Graceful Aging” treatments and products. With extensive ingredient knowledge, I’ve curated a collection of skin care products that will help any woman or man age gracefully, and look as young as they feel. My state-of-the-art treatments include microcurrent facials and L.E.D. Therapy, to gently and holistically improve skin’s texture, contour, tone and firmness. These treatments are done in a series of 12+ treatments. They are not a quick fix, but they offer alternatives to those who have chosen to not undergo surgery or injectable treatments.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some of the challenges of the past few years have been how to continue to grow and be available to my ideal client, while maintaining a very personal experience for my clients. I believe I’ve accomplished this by reaching out to my current clients for referrals, along with spreading the word through social media, such as Facebook (goddesslynneBODYandSKIN) and Instagram (@goddesslynne). I’m also very prominently featured on YELP, with over 50 5-star reviews!!
My booking system has also been upgraded to provide my clients with the utmost convenience. Booking can be done through my website, or by downloading the Schedulicity app at the App Store or Google play.
Sometimes I’m asked, how did I get so lucky to be a business owner and my own boss? Well, let’s just say, be careful what you wish for! LOL!! I believe I made my own luck, by being open to opportunities, and willing to put in the hard work to achieve my goals! When I decided to create goddesslynneBODYandSKIN, I was a 15-year veteran of the spa business, and I had a pretty good idea of what was involved in creating a skin-care business. And, for the most part, I was right…times 1,000! The amount of dedication and commitment required as a business owner is sometimes daunting, but ALWAYS rewarding. So, yes, I am very lucky indeed.
What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
So, what does the future hold for GLBS? I’m so excited to continue to grow as a professional, seeking out and selecting the very best in-studio treatments for my clients, as well as creating the very best collection of home-care products so they can maintain their healthy, glowing skin at home. The world of skin care is changing daily, and it is critically important to me that I be at the forefront of new knowledge and trends, so that I may pass this on to my clients. Equally important is being able to sift through the less-than-helpful information out there. The internet is a fascinating place, but the misinformation about skin and skin treatments is also growing by leaps and bounds. Unlicensed, uneducated practitioners can sell just about anything, I want to protect my clients from this. As a skin care influencer, I hope to empower the public to seek out qualified practitioners wherever they are…and, of course, if in the Los Angeles area, come to goddesslynneBODYandSKIN!
