Meet Sam Seidman and Ryland Arnoldi of WRAPPED

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Seidman and Ryland Arnoldi.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Sam and Ryland. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We met as economics majors at Pomona College, both on track for careers in finance. Upon graduating, however, we realized that we wanted to take a chance and start something original instead. And so WRAPPED was born. WRAPPED has always existed on the edge between technology and fine art, whatever that might mean at the moment.

Since the beginning, we have grown WRAPPED organically and in response to the needs of our customers. We created framed artwork to fill our clients’ walls and collaborated to create rugs, automobile wraps, and leather and upholstery lines to fill the spaces between them.

The latest step in this artistic evolution has been video art, which will allow us to bring our designs everywhere from the insides of lobbies to the sides of skyscrapers. It is this responsiveness to the market and to our clients’ needs that has got us to where we are today.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
If remaining nimble to meet our clients’ needs has been our greatest asset, it has also been our greatest challenge. To change a process, a product or an entire business model takes coordination and efficiency. Each new direction must be pursued with conviction and the actionable plan to accompany a said conviction. To have one without the other does not work.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with WRAPPED – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
WRAPPED is at its core a design studio. We are known for many things, amongst them our ability to meet virtually any request, even if we need to invent a new solution to do so. From massive framed canvas works to outdoor wall-coverings, to high-resolution video artwork, we are constantly evolving in conjunction with architectural trends. This ability to continue to reinvent ourselves is a quality that we are proud of and one that sets us apart from others.

Additionally, our unique take on combining hand-painted fine art elements and technology has always distinguished us artistically from other players in our industry.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Accompanying the increase of LED screens in buildings, the age of video art is emerging.

As technology becomes more integrated with society than ever before, this form of digital artwork is also becoming accessible in an unprecedented way. Screens and LED displays suddenly inhabit modern and traditional architectural spaces alike, bestowing them with an almost futuristic beauty.

WRAPPED is excited to join this movement with our custom video art for digital and LED screens. While we have already done a few video art projects, this is a product that we are looking forward to providing on an increasingly regular basis to clients around the world.
