Conversations with the Inspiring Laura Angelone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Angelone.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Laura. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my business 5 years ago when I moved from Paris (I am French) to Los Angeles because I married my husband, who I had met a few months ago on a plane!

I first started blogging about fashion, especially French fashion and how to combine the Los Angeles casual lifestyle with the Parisian minimal and edgy vibes.

The blog and my expertise in Social Media then led me to other missions, such as Community Manager for fashion brands, photography, and influencer relationships manager.

Today, my job is versatile, with a new mission every day, and I love it!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road, because I also became a mother 4 years ago.

It was a struggle to juggle between my job and my baby.

It requires a lot of organization, perseverance, and sometimes sleepless nights.

There’s no easy road when you start a business and choose to be independent, you have to be 100% committed to making it work.

What should we know about Initials LA? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a Community Manager and Influencer Partnerships manager.

I mostly help French designers who would like to develop their notoriety in the US market with their Social Media, and I also help them build strong relationships and partnerships with US influencers.

I am also a Digital Content Creator and do fashion photographies for social media use.

On the other hand, I do have my own blog, called Initials LA, which is a way for me to show my aesthetics, my style, and what kind of content I can produce.

What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
The lack of support between women… especially in the fashion industry.
