Meet Jessie Artigue of Season

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessie Artigue.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started my entrepreneurial career 10 years ago as a personal stylist. As an early adopter of blogging and social media, I was able to build a large following online and eventually have combined my fashion expertise with my love of business development and all forms of media.

Currently, I appear on local and national TV shows as an on-air style expert and then focus the rest of my time on building the ethically-made dress design that I launched in 2017. I also co-host and produce a podcast with my husband called Marriage is Funny, and always have a few consulting projects on the sidelines as well.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Plenty of speed bumps, but don’t those usually make for a more interesting ride? The most recent challenge has been learning the ins and outs of a product-based company (my first) but I love the chance to grow my experience and am so grateful for the kind souls who continue to mentor and guide me along the way.

Sourcing and manufacturing for Season is continually providing new challenges, but when I get to see and hear about how beautiful our customers look in their dresses? It all feels well worth the effort.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Season – what should we know?
Season is a line of ethically-made 100% silk dresses that can be worn in more than five main ways — a superhero cape for your everyday style! Multi-functional clothing is such a fun way to expand your creativity and your wardrobe without spending extra money or crowding up your closet, and we are excited to be a part of the move toward simpler, more confident living.

I’m proud of our company values (your style, our makers, great design + planet earth) but nothing makes me happier than to hear about the incredible things that customers are accomplishing in our dresses.

All our garments are sewn and sourced from right here in Los Angeles, and we are dreaming up ideas for new pieces every day!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I’m a visionary who values strategy as a key strength.

I love coming up with big ideas, but also appreciate that it takes organization, creativity and resourcefulness to watch them come to fruition.
