Meet Sean Brennan of The Pie Hole

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Brennan.

Sean, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve worked in the service and hospitality industry all my life and when my partners gave me the opportunity to be part of something truly special, I dove right in. We set out to merely open a modern American pie shop and it turned out to make so many people happy that we couldn’t pass up expanding.

Has it been a smooth road?
Struggles are just part of the everyday journey of an entrepreneur. Your mindset can’t be that problems are obstacles, rather, opportunities and just part of the environment of running your own business. I always find it crazy when people want to start a business but aren’t prepared to wake up with a new set of challenges every day, no matter how successful you are. If you want easy I’d suggest finding a cubicle to hide in.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Pie Hole – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are known for the worlds best sweet and meat pies and the most delicious specialty coffee in LA. I’m most proud of our ‘servant leadership’ approach to training and developing our teams because it ensures exemplary customer service and guest experience.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Los Angeles is the greatest food city on earth. You can never stop finding new and amazing neighborhoods, foods, cultures, and people. I love how I can hear 20 different languages during the day and that LA was founded by and continues to thrive and evolve because of immigrants. I dislike the lack of authenticity people can display in LA, they are always on to consuming the next cool thing rather than being in the moment.
