Meet Keven Stirdivant of KASE Real Estate Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keven Stirdivant.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Keven. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Oakland California in 1982 and moved all over the place from southern California to Albuquerque New Mexico to Arizona. A key part of my story is all the schools I’ve been through. I attended 17 schools in four different states, California, Arizona, Albuquerque, and Ohio. By the time I was in eleventh grade my dad was a bit of a hustler. I didn’t know exactly what he did growing up but he was killing it at something.

All his friends had crazy cars and we took some pretty cool vacations and I went to a nice school even though we lived in not a nice area of East Los Angeles I didn’t have to go to school around there, he put me in a private school. When I was around 5 we pretty much just got a knock at the door and my dad was sentenced to twenty years, he did about half the time and went from having the experience of a lot of financial freedom and doing whatever we want to be on welfare, single mom she was doing whatever she could to try to make a way for us. There was lots of moving around lots of fighting between my parents and they were always pretty much split up.

Fortunately for me, I found skateboarding around eleven and that became a major passion for me until I was about 15/16 and DJ underground hip-hop/scratching took over as well of just a major interest and passion for streetwear culture. So that whole mix is pretty much my whole upbringing of skateboarding, DJ, moving around all over the place, trying to figure life out and a pretty big shocker i was going to be a father my junior year in high school and that caused me to dive in really deep to something both of my parents were always about with was personal development. Although my dad was a bit of a real-life pirate he was always into reading books.

My dad read a lot of Tony Robbins books and my mom was very spiritual, strong relationship with God and also very into personal development books. So although my parents struggled a lot they never stopped for how do I get better and how do we improve, that was something I got from my parents. So when I got the news about the kid I started reading a lot of books I went to Tony Robbins for the first time when I was 17 as well as another program called landmark education. That changed a lot for me that pushed me to go into the real estate industry as a student for five years and then I started actually selling real estate when I was 22 years old around 2003/ 2004.

Then for the next 10 years I pretty much balanced between LRG and hanging out with my best friend Jonas Bevacqua to selling real estate to being heavily involved in personal development and life coaching. The major shift accrued for me in 2011 when Jonas passed and I got really serious about the legacy I would like to live for my children.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nah, I definitely wouldn’t say it has been a smooth road. Some of the main struggles were really financial and mental but the financial struggles were huge I hit a financial rock bottom three times in my life were I had to humble myself and move back in with family each of these three times being a parent to having another life to provide for in 2003 again in 2008 and a third time in 2011. That was a major struggle because it’s always difficult because if you’ve always been broke its no big deal but when you reach high levels financially and then you fall its a lot more evident, that pain that your actually struggling when you’ve seen something else before.

That was my major struggle but I’ve had a lot of struggles with drugs, substances, addiction issues, to finding ways to escape and growing up thinking that raging, drugs, and alcohol is normal and becoming a parent and seeing the impact it has on my kids but still being used to that because it’s been apart of my life for twenty years. So now being a month away from two years 100% sober I can definitely see what life is like without this things.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the KASE Real Estate Group story. Tell us more about the business.
KASE and Project Mindset, those companies together we are a personal development and real estate company. So we simply work with people on their big dream in life and many times what comes next is a dream home, many times what we are working on is where they’re going. So long story short we help people get from where they’re at to where they wanna go and we help people dig deep into the make belief bull shit story in what might be in-between where they’re at and where they would like to be.

We help them figure out really for themselves what they need to do to go 0-100 tonight because I don’t think u have to go 1-2-3-4-5 I think when your vision is crystal clear and you know whats possible u don’t have to have it take 5 years u can go there. So what I do is I’m a coach on the project mindset side I’m a coach and a speaker (motivational speaker). I’m a coach, speaker, encourager, and also a closer. On the real estate side, I am a professional negotiator, a specialist in the modern, contemporary, and luxury southern California market.

So from Laguna Beach to Malibu to Beverly Hills, I’m an expert in the field of helping people make there dream home manifest. Most known for being a coach, being the Tony Robbins with a really good shoe collection and for being a top producing real estate agent.

What I’m most proud of as a company is that we are very authentic and true to ourselves. We work where we want, we break down the doors of neighborhoods that were previously run by your regular mom and pop real taste agent, we have tapped into some of the most difficult communities and we’ve done it our way wearing whatever we want, to creating youtube videos with the soundtrack we want and not some wired classical music, and we’ve created a new example that you don’t have to be some cheesy real estate company, you can actually have fun.

I think that spread into other industries, I’ve had doctors, chiropractors, many other industries, and lawyers hit me up and say the way we’ve done KASE has been a huge inspiration for them to really be themselves.

Who else deserves credit – have you had mentors, supporters, cheerleaders, advocates, clients or teammates that have played a big role in your success or the success of the business? If so – who are they and what role did they plan / how did they help.
What I’m most proud about the company is we have a lot of young agents killing the game. What taken me twenty years, I’m now able to coach agents to get there in 2-3 years, although I’m really jealous of my own teammates, I’m super proud of them. Who else deserves credit? Hella people, my mom for sure, my dad rest in peace, Jonas rest in peace, my mentor Thach Nguyen, Dave Thrope, Jim Haley, Land Mark education, Tony Robbins, the whole KASE real asset project mindset crew, everybody involved, the whole team, are creative direction team shoutout KP (Known Passion).

Coaches and mentors are who’ve played the largest role in my life. I study something called the seven equities which is mind, body, soul, family, friends, business, and money. For each of those equities, I constantly have an individual that’s helping me strengthen my life and create more balance in that specific equity. So I have a mindset coach, a spiritual coach, physical coach, family coach, I don’t really have a social coach that’s just friends, business coach, and a money coach. So I have six coaches at all times.

The role of a coach is to know the score you would like to achieve in the game and be an extra set of eyes for you on the field. So I think it’s crucial to have coaches and mentors that u respect, that know what u want to do, and can look out into the future and be aware of any pitfalls and call you out on your shit when you’re playing around.
