Check out Angela Lee’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Lee.

Angela, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been a visual person. After graduating from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, I have been working in the Architectural Industry for more than a decade.

My love for interior design, fashion, photography, pretty writing, stationery, greeting cards, events, and weddings have led me to a world of calligraphy. The imperfect aesthetics is what truly attracts me to hand-drawn lettering. The imperfections give you a sense of personality and human touch. Something about calligraphy is so personal and special. It’s unforgettable and timeless. I have never in my wildest dream, would be doing it one day.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Based in Los Angeles, I offer calligraphy and lettering services for commissions, weddings, and events. I incorporate modern, chic, and elegant scripts. Every piece is handwritten and custom made for invitation suites, escort cards, envelope addressing, signage, and more.

In addition, my line of greeting cards is exclusively sold at Bird Pick Tea & Herb in Old Town Pasadena (10 S De Lacey Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105)

What do you think it takes to be successful as an artist?
I find that success requires hard work, perseverance and not being afraid to making mistakes. It is also important to enjoy your journey and to find balance between life and work.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
My work can be seen on Instagram @angelaleecalligraphy. My line of greeting cards is sold at Bird Pick Tea & Herb in Old Town Pasadena.
