Meet Ada Li of A Dine Away in Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ada Li.

Ada, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I first began blogging about my baking and food adventures on WordPress and I kept that up for a couple years until it became too time consuming for me. Afterwards, I started becoming more active on my Instagram account (which was a personal account at the time) and realized I was gaining more and more followers because of my food posts. It didn’t take long for me to make the transition and officially become a food Instagrammer. I enjoy sharing my food adventures on this platform because it’s a quick and easy way to connect and engage with other foodies and food influencers.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been the smoothest journey for me because even though Instagram is such an accessible platform, I still struggle with finding time to sort through all my photos and create a worthy post. I often find it challenging to get the right shot with the proper lighting and food arrangement. It’s definitely a learning process, and I constantly strive to learn more about how to take the best shots with my camera and increase my engagement on Instagram.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with A Dine Away – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My Instagram account, @ADineAway, features photos of all kinds of food that I’ve eaten and enjoyed. I also occasionally post about my travel adventures and offer tips on locations that I’ve visited, including highlights of the food I had while traveling.

Not too long ago, I invested in a high-quality camera so that I could take sharper and more vibrant shots of my food. I feel proud when I end up taking good shots of the food I ate because I always try my best to bring out the best features of each dish that I photograph.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’ve met a lot of great foodies and local business owners through Instagram, so I plan on continuing with my posts on Instagram. I look forward to improving my food photography skills and using this to launch myself into the next phase of my food adventures. I would like to get back into food blogging in the future and continue growing my platform.
