Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Soria.
Hi Antonio, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Inbound Plumbing from a motivation to do work that felt honest and meaningful. Growing up around the trades taught me how important it is to take pride in what you do, but it also showed me how much people depend on you when something in their home goes wrong. When a pipe bursts or a water heater fails, you are not just fixing something. You are stepping into someone’s space, their stress, and their trust. That responsibility has always mattered to me.
As Inbound grew, so did our mission and our sense of purpose. I still run the company and stay closely connected to the work in the field, but I am supported by a small dedicated team, including my partner Lucie, who handles the operations and creative side of the business. That structure allows us to stay hands-on, personal, and thoughtful about how we serve our customers, without losing the care and attention that made people trust us in the first place.
Craftsmanship has always been a core part of Inbound. We care deeply about doing things right, paying attention to the details, and standing behind every job. Just as important to us is the sense of community we are building. We want people to feel like they know who we are and that we genuinely care about the neighborhoods we serve. Over time, those relationships turned into referrals, and those referrals turned into the company we have today. Inbound has grown, but the heart of it has not changed. We are still a business that believes in strong craftsmanship, real connection, and showing up for people in a way that feels human and honest.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, and in many ways that is what has shaped Inbound into what it is today. Building a business from the ground up means learning a lot of things the hard way. There were moments early on where cash flow was tight, schedules were unpredictable, and I was juggling being in the field while also trying to run the company behind the scenes.
One of the biggest challenges has been growing without losing what makes us who we are. It is easy to expand, but much harder to do it in a way that protects quality, craftsmanship, and the relationships we have with our customers. We have been very intentional about staying small, building the right team, and not taking on more than we can handle.
There have also been the everyday realities of running a service business, things like supply shortages, last-minute emergencies, and long days that do not always go as planned. But every challenge has reinforced why we started this in the first place. We have learned how to adapt, stay grounded, and keep showing up for our community, even when it is hard.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Inbound Plumbing?
Inbound Plumbing is built around a simple but powerful idea: elevating plumbing while crafting real solutions for people. We provide full-service residential plumbing, from everyday repairs and maintenance to water heaters, drain work, and larger system upgrades. But more than that, we focus on bringing a higher level of care, clarity, and professionalism to an industry that often feels rushed or transactional.
What sets Inbound apart is our attention to detail and the intention behind everything we do. We care deeply about our craft. That means doing things right the first time, using quality materials, and standing behind our work. At the same time, we put just as much care into communication and customer experience. People invite us into their homes, often during stressful moments, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Brand wise, I am especially proud of how our visual identity reflects who we are. We intentionally built Inbound around a black and white brand because we believe in clarity and transparency. In an industry that can sometimes feel confusing or hard to trust, we wanted our look to communicate something simple and honest. What you see is what you get. That same philosophy carries through in how we do business, from clear communication to upfront pricing and thoughtful service.
What I want readers to know is that Inbound is not a big, faceless company. We are a focused, hands-on team that truly cares about the people we serve. Every job, no matter the size, is a chance to support someone, build trust, and deliver work we can stand behind. That combination of craftsmanship, transparency, and community is what defines Inbound Plumbing.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I spend a good amount of time reading self-improvement books and listening to podcasts. They help me stay grounded, sharpen my mindset, and continue growing both personally and professionally.
