Inspiring Conversations with Tori S. Klempa of Tori K Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tori S. Klempa.

Hi Tori S., we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The prime of my story started when I moved here to Los Angeles from my hometown in Boston. It was on a complete whim, I moved here with my cousin. God put it on our heart to move to California and at the time, we couldn’t even tell you why. We booked the one way ticket, landed and figured it out from there. No job. No car. No place to live. Stayed in Airbnb’s for 2 months until we finally were blessed with an apartment. It was a one bedroom that we both shared for 3 years– we were COMMITTED to staying. Once here, I pretty much ended up on a journey of self discovery— from learning to be single and dating again, down to my career. I gave myself a childhood I wasn’t able to have when it came to exploring hobbies like modeling and dancing and so many beautiful opportunities but I truly felt my calling was to be a Life Coach. To be there for people who didn’t have someone to look up to, ask questions or guide them on life. Life can be hard and some people don’t have those figures around them to help reflect or offer advice.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. There is so much doubt. Doubt whether or not I can actually help someone in what they need. If I’m being the best leader and coach I can be… Entrepreneurship in itself is extremely hard and can be discouraging because you’re constantly figuring it out and it doesn’t always go the way you planned. Comparison and wondering if the industry is too saturated and trying to navigate those thoughts. Launching programs no one signed up for and wanting to give up completely. I struggled with figuring out what my niche was– I bounced back and forth so much wondering if this was even for me but allowing these ebbs and flows to be apart of the journey and knowing it will all come together and I will reach those who need me. I also had such a struggle with committing to Life Coaching because little Tori so bad wanted to be a model and be in entertainment but it didn’t fulfill me in the way Coaching does, even though I still love it till this day.

As you know, we’re big fans of Tori K Coaching. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m a Life and Identity Coach for women. I believe this work chose me. It was definitely a calling I ran from for a long time. I finally decided to run on my faith and pursue what I believe I was put here to do. I love working with and empowering women. I work with women 18 and older. I help them understand themselves better and navigate womanhood. I work with women who are eldest daughters, lack self love, confidence or trust and women who have a tough time with dating due to anxious attachment. I want them to see themselves as I see them and become the woman they see in their mind. What sets me apart is I WAS THAT WOMAN. I lacked the self-love and confidence, I sabotaged relationships because of relational trauma and as the eldest daughter, I gave myself a childhood I felt like I lacked due to feeling like I had to grow up quickly. I want my audience to know that there’s no such thing as perfection and this is a life-long commitment of getting to know yourself at every stage and age. I am also human and still have days where I feel down but I remember how far I’ve come and how God has kept me.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love that you can never be bored here, there is so much to do. You can explore so many different foods and hobbies! As someone who was born and raised in Boston, while it’s a great city, I feel like LA has a lot of fun activities and opportunities. I’m also spoiled with a sun-filled winters now and I don’t have to deal with snow! What I like least…… well, the traffic and parking. It doesn’t matter what time of day there’s traffic. Definitely plan ahead at least an hour or so to factor in the parking situation too. LA is a big city and you definitely have to navigate bigger personalities and it can be discouraging with everyone around you doing so much but there’s a lot of possibilities if you have the drive, focus and willing to work.
