“It all started with a bad haircut.”
OrganiGrowHairCo began in Los Angeles, born from my own struggle with severe hair damage. After years of chemical treatments, heat styling, and using products filled with harsh ingredients, my hair became brittle and lifeless. Inspired by my young daughter’s natural curls, I started researching clean, plant-based solutions and formulating products in my kitchen. Over time, my hair not only recovered but grew back healthier, stronger, and more defined than ever.
From that journey, I created a vegan, organic, all-natural line designed for every porosity, every texture, and every age. Each formula is intentionally crafted to meet specific porosity needs so every person can experience real growth, real moisture, and truly healthy hair.
While on tour in 2016, I began creating homemade products like our Scalp Beverage, Redo Prepoo, and Brow and Lash Elixir to repair my own hair and my daughter’s hair. People quickly noticed the transformation and started asking for the products. That demand sparked the official launch of OrganiGrowHairCo.
As the company grew, we moved our warehouse and manufacturing from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, where we now produce everything in-house. This allows us to maintain full control over quality, ingredients, and freshness while keeping our formulas clean, safe, and effective.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
OrganiGrowHairCo began in Los Angeles, where I formulated every product from scratch and personally handled each step of development. As a Black woman founder in the beauty industry, I was determined to build a company rooted in integrity, transparency, and education rather than trends or shortcuts. From day one, producing everything in-house was a non-negotiable choice. It allowed me to maintain full control over ingredient quality, formulation standards, and product safety.
As demand expanded, we grew into our own manufacturing facility in Las Vegas. This move marked a major milestone in our evolution, giving us the space and capability to scale production while keeping everything small batch, fresh, and fully aligned with our clean, plant-powered philosophy. Because we are our own manufacturer, we never outsource or white label. Every bottle, every batch, and every formula originates with us.
Educating customers about porosity became another defining part of our mission. Many people had never heard of porosity or how it affects hair health, so we focused on teaching, simplifying, and empowering customers to make informed choices. This education-first approach set us apart and helped countless individuals understand their hair for the first time.
What began as a personal solution is now a thriving community of more than 100k Growers. Their transformations and trust continue to guide our purpose. As a Black woman–owned brand, we remain authentic, community-driven, and committed to producing clean, effective formulas in-house from start to finish.

OrganiGrowHairCo is a plant-powered hair care company I created in 2016 after experiencing severe hair damage from chemical services, heat styling, and extensions. Every formula is vegan, cruelty-free, and made in small batches in-house at our own facility in Las Vegas.
