Story & Lesson Highlights with Robert Rossi of Los Angeles

Robert Rossi shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Robert, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Who are you learning from right now?
I feel like I learn so much from my students.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Robert Rossi. I work as a music teacher and music therapist in the community. I am also a singer/songwriter and am slowly working on a new album in my spare time.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Other than my relationship with family and friends, I would say that my therapeutic relationships have most shaped how I see myself. With therapy I feel like a corrective lens is placed on your own perspective at times to help you solve problems in your life and well-being.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I really appreciate the Bob Dylan line that there’s “no success like failure…and failure is no success at all.” Suffering clued me in to the temporal aspects of this world. And it made success sweeter at least insofar as not taking anything for granted.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe in the power of God and the necessity of faith.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when with my music.
