We’re looking forward to introducing you to Zosia Garcia Sledzinska. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Zosia , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
LAUGH? That’s basically my full-time job—at least once a day. If I’m not laughing, you know something is very, very wrong. I’ve been extremely proud of what I’ve become and everything I’m doing—from verticals to commercials, shows, or music videos. I’m very proud of myself… and of all the amazing people who’ve helped me along the way.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Zosia Garcia Sledzinska — Executive Producer of short-format vertical films at the moment, though I honestly produce anything that comes my way. I’ve worked for amazing networks and shows, and I’m really loving the vertical space. I’m also a photographer, which means I’m constantly framing the world through a lens—sometimes literally. Working for ReelShort has been incredible, and I love being in a space where creativity meets fast-paced storytelling.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
The world always tries to tell women who they should be. But I always knew who I wanted to be and what I needed to do to get where I wanted to go. I’m extremely goal-driven, and there’s no way I’ll stop until I get there. When I was a kid, teachers—and pretty much everyone around me—hated how persistent and hard-headed I was. But whenever someone said something wasn’t possible, I refused to take that as an answer. I guess I’ve changed everyone’s mind.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I don’t hide my pain or any of my feelings—it’s dumb. The only person you’re really hurting is yourself. People act like showing pain is a weakness, but honestly, it’s how you grow, learn, and actually get things done. That said, I only share my pain with people who truly deserve to see my whole self.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
One hundred percent—what you see is what you get. If you don’t like it, then we’re simply not a good match.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
Oh wow! One day, I just want people to say I was a producer who treated everyone with respect, made people laugh, and created an environment where doing great work felt fun—even when shoots were tough. I want them to remember that I noticed their effort, celebrated their wins, and led with both heart and confidence. If I can achieve that, I’ll consider my job well done.
