Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Coleman.
Hi Peter, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m an LA based guitarist working as a hired gun for different bands while working on my own solo project. I’m originally from Guilford Indiana and moved out to LA in 2023 for school. I attended Musicians Institute for guitar/ guitar performance and am graduating in December! I’ve had so much experience with my instrument the past 2 years too! Ive done studio work, live performances, cross country tours, and have even played with some very well known people such as Chad Smith(Red Hot Chili Peppers), George Lynch(Dokken, Lynch Mob), and Warren De Martini(Ratt)!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has been up and down! While attending Musicians Institute I’ve had to learn how to balance everything in life! Such as school, work, the gym, gigs, and a social life! During this time it was a lot because I was so focused on being the best guitarist I could be but life gets in the way so you need to learn how to be patient!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a guitarist for hire in the LA area! I specialize in the rock genre but am diverse in many genres. I’m know for playing for Kyle Rising and many other musicians! I’m most proud of moving away from home at such a young age and taking initiative of my life and making it work!
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is my family. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without them! They’ve always been there for me and gave me support throughout my music career!
