Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernanda Lorenti.
Hi Fernanda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
They told me I would never walk again. I was only 14, full of energy, dreams, and movement, when polio suddenly confined me to a wheelchair. But I refused to accept that fate. Through faith, visualization, and relentless physical therapy, I not only walked again but, two years later, ran a 5K marathon and won first place. That moment taught me the true power of mindset, resilience, and the human spirit.
By 19, I had built a thriving retail business in Barra Bonita, Brazil, and earned the title of Young Entrepreneur of the Year. I thought my future was set, but life had another test in store. At 21, a near-fatal car accident threw me from my vehicle and left me in a coma. Doctors didn’t expect me to survive, but I did. Waking up from that experience changed everything. It made me realize that life is precious, and living your purpose is not optional.
I entrusted my business to my sister and moved to São Paulo to pursue my dream of acting. During that time, I not only performed in theater and television and founded a children’s theater company, but I also immersed myself in studying the physiology of religion, neuroscience, and psychology. Understanding how the mind, body, and spirit work together became central to my path and later, to my mission.
In 2001, I moved to the U.S., where I became a Hollywood actress, model, wife, mother, and eventually a transformational speaker. Today, I lead seminars that empower thousands to overcome obstacles, shift their mindset, and live with courage, gratitude, and joy.
Every challenge I’ve faced, from illness to accidents to reinvention, has shaped my purpose: to inspire others to dream fearlessly, believe deeply, and embrace life with an open heart.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My life has been shaped by challenges that, at the time, felt impossible to overcome. Polio at 14, the coma-inducing car accident at 21, rebuilding my life twice in different cities, and starting over again when I moved to the United States, each chapter came with its own set of struggles.
There were moments when my body was weak, but my spirit had to stay strong. There were times when I had to reinvent myself from scratch, questioning who I was and who I wanted to become. Learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, raising a family while pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, all of it required resilience, humility, and a deep belief that I was meant for more.
Emotionally, the hardest battles were internal. Overcoming fear after my accident, trusting life again, and rebuilding my confidence in a world that constantly tells you who you should be, those were the challenges that truly shaped me. Studying psychology, neuroscience, and the physiology of religion helped me understand how we heal, how we grow, and how powerful our mindset truly is.
Each obstacle pushed me to strengthen my faith, deepen my gratitude, and commit to helping others navigate their own storms. My journey has not been easy, but every struggle has become fuel for my purpose, and proof that we are all capable of rising far beyond our circumstances.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My professional journey has been anything but traditional. It has been a blend of entertainment, education, healing, and empowerment. After acting in Brazil and later in Hollywood, I realized that my true passion was not just performing, it was transforming lives. Over time, I merged my background in acting with my studies in psychology, neuroscience, and the physiology of religion to create a unique approach to human development.
Today, I work as a transformational speaker and mindset coach, helping individuals overcome limiting beliefs and reconnect with their inner strength. Whether I’m on stage speaking to hundreds, leading a seminar, or working with clients one-on-one, my goal is the same: to empower people to rewrite their story, reprogram their thinking, and live a life filled with purpose, joy, and gratitude.
My professional life is deeply fulfilling because it allows me to combine everything I’ve learned, my personal challenges, my artistic background, and my academic studies, and use them to help others rise above their own obstacles. It’s more than a career; it’s my calling.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Every year during my father’s work vacation, he would take us first to Aparecida do Norte in Brazil, a city known for its beautiful basilica, where we would pray and express our gratitude for the year. After that, we would head to the beach for two full weeks.
Those vacations were magical, no TV, no phones, just us together. Each morning, I would walk down the sun-warmed streets to the nearby bakery, inhaling the aroma of fresh bread, and bring it back to share with the family. In the afternoons, my grandfather, Vô Chico, patiently taught me to play chess, moving the pieces across the board while sharing stories and wisdom.
The rest of the day was spent at the beach, We played games, built sandcastles, swam in the waves, and laughed until our cheeks hurt. Those moments felt both simple and extraordinary, a time where joy, connection, and presence were everything.
Looking back, those experiences instilled in me a deep sense of gratitude, the value of being present, and the importance of cherishing every moment with the people you love, lessons that continue to guide me in every aspect of my life today.
