Today we’d like to introduce you to ‘XIETTY.

Hi ‘XIETTY, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born and raised in the Antelope Valley, I started making music at 16 years old with my collective group ‘GAWD $HIT’ recording songs off a gaming headset in my closet and started dropping music on SoundCloud under the name CHECK$$. Upgraded and found my sound on FL studio, changed my name to ‘XIETTY and began making music with another Local Artist ‘$TORM’ who helps engineer and produce my music as of late. 23 now, My catalog has grown a ton since I started. Just dropped a collab ep with ‘$TORM’ named “OU VOL. 1” which stands for ONLY US on all platforms. Most recently featured on ‘MAJICS’ album “EAR CANDY” you can find me on both ‘Peachgrove’ (Track 2) & ‘FLY $HIT’ (Track 22).

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely has not been an easy road. With Covid hitting hard and slowing down music production and performances, life also caught up to my group and I. Majic and I both became fathers & life had to become a little more about family. With more on my plate, I focused more on working and keeping afloat and caused me to fall into deep depression and anxiety. Feeling like I lost myself I knew there was only 1 think that made me feel alive and like myself again and that is making music.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Im a lead packaging technician (Tech 2) at Big Oil Co. where we produce and package cannabis products such as wax pens, rosin, budders, etc. Also graduated in Pharmacy Tech so I’m a licensed pharmacy technician.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in luck I feel like my actions will always be the reason for things happening the way they do. I strongly believe in karma and manifestation.
