Hidden Gems: Meet Cynthia Moten of Pushcove LLC/ GainGainG LLC/ Bootfit Basix LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Moten.

Hi Cynthia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I graduated high school early and stepped straight into the United States Army at 17 years old, ready to build a life bigger than anything I had ever known. I served for 22 years as a combat Army veteran, deploying three times and navigating some of the most demanding environments a soldier can face. The military shaped me. It gave me discipline, grit, leadership, and a deep respect for purpose. By the time I retired in 2015, I had raised three amazing boys and built a foundation that would carry me into the next chapter of my life.

Stepping into civilian life, I knew I wanted to reinvent myself. In 2016, I began modeling, which opened doors to acting and stunt work, areas I continue to grow in today. Performing became a new way to express myself after decades of structure, and it allowed me to tap into creativity I never had space for in the military. Today, I am proud to be both an actress and a stunt performer, building a career in an industry that challenges me and inspires me every single day.

At the same time, I discovered an entirely different passion: trading. For the past nine years, I’ve been a day trader in the Forex and Futures markets. Through dedication, study, and discipline- the same qualities the Army instilled in me, I became a six-figure trader. Trading sharpened my mindset, strengthened my resilience, and taught me how to build wealth independently. It’s also a legacy I’m passing down to my kids so they can build generational wealth long after I’m gone.

Service has always been at the core of who I am. I founded Homeless Lives Matter, a nonprofit organization committed to feeding and supporting the unhoused community. Every year for Thanksgiving, I go out and serve meals on Skid Row. This year, due to rising safety concerns in downtown Los Angeles, I shifted my outreach and donated gift cards to underserved families in the Inglewood and Hacienda Heights school districts. No matter what adjustments I have to make, my mission stays the same: to serve with love, compassion, and dignity.

Today, I’m also one year away from earning my Doctorate in Business Administration at Walden University, an accomplishment I never would have imagined for myself as a young soldier stepping into the world. I’ve achieved many things throughout my life, but none of it was by my own strength alone. God has guided me, protected me, and pushed me forward every step of the way. My faith is my anchor, my motivation, and the source of everything I am.

My life now is about legacy, building something my children, their children, and future generations can stand on. I came from little to nothing, but through determination, faith, and purpose, I created a life I’m proud of and I’m just getting started.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My journey has been filled with challenges that shaped me, strengthened me, and pushed me into my purpose. Serving 22 years in the Army—deploying three times came with sacrifices that most people never see. Balancing motherhood while being in combat zones, missing milestones, and carrying the emotional weight that comes with military life was one of my greatest battles. Transitioning back into civilian life after retirement was another major challenge. You spend decades trained to operate in a high-stress, high-discipline environment, and suddenly you have to rebuild your entire identity outside of the uniform.

Breaking into the modeling, acting, and stunt world wasn’t easy either. There were a lot of closed doors, a lot of “no’s,” and many moments where I had to start over from scratch. I had to teach myself an entirely new industry, learn how to network, how to market myself, and how to stand out in spaces that didn’t always welcome people with my background.

Trading the Forex and Futures markets came with its own set of struggles. It took years of discipline, losses, late nights, early mornings, and moments of doubt. Becoming a six-figure trader didn’t happen overnight. It required emotional control, consistency, and a willingness to fail forward until I mastered my craft.

Even my nonprofit work comes with challenges. Serving the homeless community each year, especially on Skid Row, means navigating safety concerns, unstable environments, and unpredictable conditions. This year, due to violence and the rising ICE situation downtown, I had to shift my outreach and find safer ways to support families, which meant sending gift cards to underserved school districts instead of serving meals in person.

Through all of it, my faith has been my anchor. Every obstacle has strengthened me, humbled me, and prepared me for the blessings I have today. None of my accomplishments came without struggle, but every challenge made me who I am: resilient, resourceful, and deeply committed to serving and uplifting others.

How could I forget? I’m also an inventionist! Working on two prototypes right now as we speak.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I currently operate three distinct brands, each representing a different part of my purpose and entrepreneurial journey:

Pushcove LLC
Formerly known as Anointed Investments, Pushcove LLC represents my Turo fleet and rental car service. The name reflects my belief in creating opportunities that “push” people forward while giving them a “cove,” or safe space, to access reliable, high-quality transportation. What sets Pushcove apart is the level of professionalism and care I bring to every guest experience. My military background taught me precision and attention to detail, and I apply those same values to running a fleet that is clean, reliable, and customer-focused.

GainGainG LLC
GainGainG is my hybrid personal brand that brings together the three pillars of my life: Film, Fitness, and Finance. What originally started as WebStore LLC has evolved into a brand that showcases my acting and stunt work, my fitness expertise, and my success as a day trader in the Forex and Futures markets. GainGainG is about growth, discipline, and legacy. I’m known for empowering people to build wealth, transform their bodies, and chase their dreams fearlessly. What sets this brand apart is its authenticity — it’s rooted in my real life, my journey, and my commitment to helping others “gain” in every area of life.

Bootfit Basix LLC
Bootfit Basix LLC is my boxing and fitness brand. This company reflects my passion for physical conditioning, self-discipline, and helping people reach their potential through movement. With Bootfit Basix, I provide unique boxing-centered training that blends fundamentals, conditioning, and mindset. My approach is different because it comes from the combined experience of a combat veteran, an athlete, and a fitness coach. It’s not just a workout — it’s training that builds confidence, strength, and mental toughness.

Across all three brands, the theme is the same: discipline, service, and transformation.
I am most proud that each business is rooted in purpose. They reflect the different seasons of my life — from military service, to motherhood, to fitness and film, to financial independence — and they all point back to my mission of creating generational wealth and empowering others to do the same.

What I want readers to know is this: every brand I build is intentional. It is designed to elevate communities, create opportunities, and demonstrate what’s possible when you trust God, stay disciplined, and refuse to give up on your dreams.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
My entire life has been built on taking risks, not reckless risks, but faith-driven, purpose-driven risks that require courage, discipline, and trust in God. Serving 22 years in the Army, including three deployments, taught me early on that playing it safe doesn’t lead to growth. Every time I stepped into a foreign country, every mission I completed, and every moment away from my children required a level of risk that shaped the way I navigate life today.

When I retired and transitioned into civilian life, that was one of the biggest risks of all. After two decades in the military, you’re conditioned to move a certain way, think a certain way, and operate in a structured environment. Walking away from that stability to pursue modeling, acting, and stunt work, industries known for uncertainty was a major leap of faith. But I knew I had more inside of me than what my uniform represented.

Trading in the Forex and Futures markets is another area where risk is unavoidable. You don’t become a six-figure trader unless you learn how to manage risk, control your emotions, and trust your strategy even when the market challenges you. I’ve taken losses, I’ve had setbacks, and I’ve experienced days where nothing made sense but every risk taught me discipline, patience, and resilience. Trading taught me that risk is not the enemy; fear is.

Launching multiple businesses from my Turo fleet, to GainGainG LLC, to Bootfit Basix, to my nonprofit Homeless Lives Matter — all required stepping into the unknown without guarantees. Serving the homeless on Skid Row is a risk every year. Even this year, I had to rethink my entire approach due to rising violence and the ICE situation downtown. Instead of stopping, I found a safer way to still serve families by delivering gift cards to underserved school districts.

To me, risk-taking is not about being fearless. It’s about choosing purpose over comfort. It’s about knowing that God didn’t bring me this far to live small. I take risks because I refuse to let fear limit my legacy. Every major blessing in my life — as a soldier, mother, investor, actress, business owner, and servant leader has come from stepping out on faith when the path wasn’t clear.

Risk, to me, is simply the price of elevation.
