Hi D-Magic , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Haiti, where life was far from easy. My passion for music started at a young age, long before I ever had the chance to enter a studio. Music became my way to escape the chaos around me and transform pain into something meaningful.
Growing up, I faced many challenges – the loss of my father, threats, violence, and instability. But instead of breaking me, those experiences shaped my voice and my purpose. I began writing songs based on real emotions and real struggles, hoping my story could touch others who were also fighting their own battles.
After leaving Haiti to seek safety and rebuild my life, I continued to pursue music in the United States. Every experience, every obstacle, every victory became part of my artistic identity. Today, I use my music as a way to inspire others, represent my country, and show that strength can grow even from the darkest situations. My journey is one of resilience, and I’m proud of how far it has taken me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely not been smooth. I grew up surrounded by danger, political tension, and gang violence. I experienced personal loss and physical threats that forced me to leave everything behind. At times, I didn’t know where life would take me, but I kept moving forward because music was the only thing that gave me hope.
Coming to the United States also brought new challenges – adapting, rebuilding my life from zero, and trying to establish myself as an artist in a new country. But every struggle has made me stronger and allowed me to stay focused on my dream. Nothing has been easy, but everything has been worth it.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a rap artist who focuses on conscious storytelling, emotional honesty, and real-life experiences. My music is deeply influenced by the struggles I lived through in Haiti and the journey I’m still on today.
What sets me apart is my authenticity. I don’t create music just to entertain – I create music to heal, to raise awareness, and to give a voice to people who often feel unheard.
I am most proud of the fact that my songs touch people emotionally and inspire them, whether they are from Haiti, the diaspora, or anywhere in the world. My story, my energy, and my determination give my music a unique identity.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I believe no one succeeds alone.
First, I want to credit my family, especially those who always encouraged me to keep going even when life became dangerous or uncertain.
I also want to thank the supporters who shared my music, believed in my message, and motivated me to keep pushing.
Every person who gave me encouragement, who listened to my songs, who sent a positive message — they all played a role in my journey. Their support helped me stay strong, stay focused, and continue building my career despite the obstacles.
