Today we’d like to introduce you to MIKE CASTOR.

Hi MIKE, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Started off printing t-shirts in the garage in the year 2000 grew into a service company creting logos business cards, logos, designs and printing through that experience learned the ins and outs of the industry started multiple clothing brands in 2008 also helped other clothing brands get started thru that i learned how to understand fashion trends sales and dealing with people while selling at swap meets trade shows etc. from there we attained a sales rep and got the brand put into 100 stores plus currently im learning to scale the business through systems and doubling up on the stores we are in and now full time with the clothing brand including a warehouse and 7 employees

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
not a smooth road at all learning each level was very difficult how to deal with customers, creating invoices, spreadsheets etc.. always being broke learning to budget this journey has its good times as well as its bad times while staying relevant is the easiest thing dealing with multiple people money and just understanding how to run a business has been the most difficult task just wanted to print shirts and make designs and these days i hardly do either.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
what sets us apart is the designs we create and the ideas we come up with i think this is the most exciting part of the company we are very well known behind the scenes in the streetwear industry as we have been pushing our brand for about 17 years now its not the most popular at the moment but we are very consistent and continue to grow the company every year.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
yes history always repeats itself so i believe the streetwear industry is about to take off in the next couple years sure everyone wears t-shirts but it hasn’t been the trend as most people have been into button ups and shirts within fashion but t-shirts is about to take off here and we like to ride the wave that’s coming as the trends of the late 90s and early 2000s are coming in ive already lived through that era so very easy to flip those ideas into modern ones
