Today we’d like to introduce you to Vinny Margott.

Vinny, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My family fell in love with Tony’s flagship restaurant, Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, about 12 years ago in North Beach, San Francisco. The experience sparked our passion and we began making pizza at home and learning everything we could about the art of making pizzas, inspired by Tony’s approach and dedication.

When we heard Tony was beginning to franchise, we immediately called to learn more about the opportunity and knew we wanted to be part of it in a meaningful way. We recognized Tony had something truly special and was making the best pizza in the world, and we wanted to help bring that experience to more communities.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Tony and the entire Slice House team have made this journey incredibly smooth. Like any business, there are natural bumps along the way, but thanks to the strong support and guidance from the Slice House corporate team, we’ve enjoyed every day in the business.

I’m most proud of the love and care we put into every location and every order. Tony’s motto, “Respect the Craft,” truly defines the brand. I’ll never forget seeing him help us clean tables at one of our stores because he cares so deeply about the guest experience. Moments like that stay with you and are a big part of what makes this brand so special.

We want readers to know that Slice House is committed to offering something for everyone. We serve an amazing gluten-free pizza along with delicious vegan options to ensure all guests feel included. We’re also constantly innovating – our newest mobile app and rewards system make ordering and earning points easier than ever.
We have several new locations on the way in 2026 including Porter Ranch and Ventura and can’t wait to bring the Slice House experience to even more communities.

How do you think about luck?
I believe we had good luck when we learned that Slice House was franchising just minutes after their official announcement. It gave us the opportunity to be first in the market to select the sites we wanted and allowed us to be part of the brand’s growth from the ground floor.
