Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Anchor and Bloom Doula Agency is the collaboration of two experienced Doulas and a Labor and Delivery Nurse. We are a trifecta of experience, support and a deep dedication to helping birthing families. We see a need for Doulas to have a strong layer of education and hands on support. We have a passion for helping families through pregnancy and postpartum. We have joined together those two passions to help families find their perfect fit and to also help Doulas navigate the landscape of being paired with their heart clients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Los Angeles has had a lot of hits in the last few years. Watching a lot of our clients lose homes, property and a sense of security, it has become even more important to step up the care that we provide to them. We also see a strong need to support Doulas to gain experience and navigate a lot of changes such as an increase of Insurance Companies are paying for doula coverage. Support is a dynamic and ever changing and we are helping to make sure that clients have beautiful support and doulas have all the resources they need to do an excellent job.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Knowing that we are helping to support birthing people and doulas makes us happy. We want people to walk into parenthood feeling safe and connected to their birth story and feeling like they were equipped to handle their birth experience. We want them to feel empowered to move seamlessly into parenthood with that same sense of trust.
