Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Stargaard.
Hi Jay, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey as an artist started with a deep curiosity about life, consciousness, and the love that surrounds us, even when we can’t always see it. From a very young age, I experienced mystical moments that showed me there was far more available to life than I had been taught, moments of connection and wonder that left me questioning, exploring, and seeking. That seeking led me to meditation, self-inquiry, and ultimately, the realization that what I was looking for had always been inside me.
Art became my language for that discovery. Through painting and sculpture, I learned to express what can’t always be put into words, the energy, the light, and the invisible threads that connect us all. Many of my pieces feature circular forms, creating portals that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and explore their own inner world.
Today, through Stargaard Art, I aim to inspire others to alchemize their lives, to open to more love, light, and joy and to celebrate the power of Conscious Awareness. My path has been about learning to co-create with the Divine, and each piece I make is a reflection of that journey, a symbol of transcendence, and an invitation to step into your own inner light.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t always been smooth. Early on, I struggled with the belief that I would never be enough, a fear that shaped many of my experiences, and kept me feeling separate, unworthy, and stuck at times. Learning to navigate those inner obstacles required conscious awareness, self-inquiry, and a lot of patience.
Art became my guide and my alchemy. Through creating, I discovered that what I had been seeking, love, wholeness, and connection, was always inside me. Each challenge became an opportunity to transform fear into expression, and now my work is a reflection of that journey. The struggles shaped not only who I am as a person but also the art I create, giving it depth, meaning, and the power to inspire others.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create transformative paintings and sculptures that explore consciousness, light, and the connection between inner and outer worlds. My work often features circular portals, symbols of entry into self-reflection, transcendence, and the alchemy of life. I specialize in art that not only delights the eye but also inspires personal growth, emotional connection, and awakening.
What sets my work apart is the intentionality and energy behind it. Each piece is co-created with the Divine and the moment, allowing the art to become a living expression of love, awareness, and joy. I’m most proud that my creations serve as more than objects, they’re experiences that help people alchemize their lives, open to more love and light, and step into their own power and happiness.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I love surrounding myself with teachings that expand consciousness and support personal growth. My favorites include Satsang with Mooji, courses by Dr. Joe Dispenza, and workshops with Abraham-Hicks. These resources inspire me, help me stay aligned, and fuel both my art and my life with clarity, love, and energy.
