Rising Stars: Meet Elle Eliades of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elle Eliades.

Hi Elle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in Melbourne, Australia. My love for music started really young, for as long as I can remember I had dreams of being an artist. It started with singing, and over time, that naturally grew into learning piano and guitar, and eventually writing my own songs. As a teenager, I started performing live around Melbourne while developing my sound and figuring out who I wanted to be as an artist.

After years of writing and performing, I released my first single, ‘Running’ in December 2020. It felt like this really marked the “start” of my journey as an artist, expanding my reach beyond Australia to an international audience. I continued releasing a series of singles that went on to achieve some amazing things, which eventually brought me to the US. I moved from Melbourne to Los Angeles in 2023, and I’ve been here ever since! Over the past couple of years, I’ve been working on my debut EP ‘Elora’, which just came out on October 24th! It’s my proudest work to date and I’m so excited to finally share it with the world!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being not only an independent artist but an independent artist who moved across the world definitely comes with its own set of challenges, but those challenges have helped me grow so much, both personally and creatively. They’ve shaped me into the person and artist I am today, and I’m really grateful for that!

Moving countries is a huge process. Navigating a whole new country, being so far away from everyone and everything I knew wasn’t easy, but it’s been the best decision I ever made, and I’m so proud of myself for pushing through those hard times, especially in the early days. I’ve now created such a beautiful community here in LA, and I’m so grateful to be surrounded by and work with so many talented creatives here in LA.
As independent artists, we wear a lot of hats. We’re not just the artist, but the creative director, marketing team, stylist, and everything in between. There’s a lot of time spent on tasks outside of actually making the music. Wearing these multiple hats and doing so much on my own over the years has helped me build so many skills and become the self-sufficient artist that I am today.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an independent singer/songwriter from Melbourne, Australia, who is now based in Los Angeles, and I make R&B/Soul music. I’m probably best known for my song ‘You,’ which went on to chart in multiple countries.

There are so many things that I’m proud of, but I think I’m most proud of the way that my music has connected with so many people around the world. Hearing that a song I wrote helped someone through something, or simply made them feel calm and understood, is the best feeling. One of my favorite moments was finding out a couple used one of my songs for their first dance at their wedding! That kind of emotional connection is everything to me.

I think what sets me apart is my authenticity and intentionality in my work. I write everything myself, record most of it on my own, and creative direct all my releases. Every song is genuinely a piece of me. Being from Australia and now living in Los Angeles has also shaped me as an artist in a unique way.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see more independent artists thriving, and authenticity and uniqueness continuing to cut through!
