Hi Sara, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story began when I was sixteen, juggling high school and a cosmetology program at a local vocational school. I was young, curious, and loved staying busy — that drive has guided me ever since.
As a first-generation daughter, I didn’t always see eye to eye with my traditional backround. So choosing beauty school over college felt rebellious, but I knew I was meant to build something creative and connected to people.
After earning my license, I worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry while growing my career behind the chair. One night, a customer who was opening a salon encouraged me to go all in. That conversation changed everything. I put college on hold, trusted my gut, and jumped in — with no idea what I was doing, but full of determination.
Over the next eleven years, I learned from amazing mentors and built a loyal community of clients. By thirty, I was ready for my own space. I came across an old psychic studio being renovated in my hometown and saw potential in it. I transformed it into the salon I had always envisioned — bright, clean, and filled with good energy.
Since opening in 2014, the salon has grown into a thriving space with an incredible team and loyal clients. I’ve found balance between work and home, and I’m grateful for every lesson along the way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Tons! I’ve learned almost everything the hard way — from shifting business plans to navigating constant pivots through COVID shutdowns.
Some of the biggest challenges have been keeping momentum through change — balancing the creative side with business demands and maintaining consistency for clients through it all. Every stage has pushed me to adapt, evolve, and refine how I run my business.

We focus on creating styles that feel effortless, intentional, and personal to each guest.
I specialize in cutting — all lengths, textures, and techniques — along with precision thinning, short hair design, grooming, corrections, and extensions. My team is incredibly diverse, with stylists skilled in everything from detailed cutting to advanced coloring and blonding specialist.
What sets us apart is our approach. We take the time to understand each guest — their lifestyle, texture, and comfort level — so their hair not only looks great when they leave, but continues to feel natural and easy to manage day to day.
How do you think about luck?
Absolutely!!! good luck has played a huge role. Through every setback and mishap, I’ve always felt guided — whether by timing, people, or something bigger than me — and somehow things have unfolded with such grace.
