Today we’d like to introduce you to Karina Argumedo.
Hi karina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into holistic healing began in childhood, born into a lineage of wellness practitioners where traditional remedies and natural healing were our daily practice. Munay Growing up as a third-generation wellness provider, I didn’t just learn about healing – I lived it. My grandmother and mother showed me that true wellness isn’t just about treating symptoms; it’s about understanding the sacred connection between body, mind, and soul.
This foundation led me to formally study and master multiple healing modalities. I became a certified Ayurvedic practitioner and wellness educator, recognizing that this ancient system perfectly aligned with my family’s teachings about balance and natural healing. I expanded my expertise through massage therapy certification, specializing in body sculpting and fascia regenerative practices – understanding that the body’s physical structure profoundly impacts overall wellness.
My commitment to holistic transformation drew me to study NLP and the Silva Method, powerful tools for reprogramming limiting beliefs and unlocking human potential. Today, at Munay Health Wellness Center, I integrate all these modalities – from PEMF therapies to meditation practices – creating personalized healing journeys for each client.
The name “Munay” itself reflects our philosophy – in Quechua, it means the energy of love that flows freely, representing love for creation, nature, oneself and others. Munay As a VA provider, I’m honored to serve those who’ve served our country, bringing them the same holistic care my family has provided for generations. Every day, I help individuals reconnect with themselves, teaching that self-love and self-care aren’t luxuries – they’re the foundation of a balanced, fulfilling life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, calling it a “road” suggests there was a clear path – but pioneering holistic wellness has been more like forging a trail through uncharted territory. The struggles have been profound, but they’ve shaped both my practice and my purpose. Financial struggles nearly ended my journey multiple times. When you’re committed to non-invasive, holistic practices, you’re essentially building outside the insurance model. I remember months of treating clients for free or trade because I refused to turn away women who desperately needed healing but couldn’t afford it.
This led me to restructure everything – becoming a VA provider, creating membership programs, and developing sliding scales. We believe that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and we strive to facilitate that process through our services Munay – but making that accessible while sustaining a practice required creative business solutions I never learned in any certification program. The biggest ongoing challenge? Fighting the “quick-fix” wellness culture. In a world of 7-day transformations and Instagram solutions, explaining that true healing requires time, patience, and sometimes uncomfortable inner work has cost me clients. But it’s also attracted the right ones – people ready for genuine transformation, not just surface changes. These struggles haven’t weakened my practice; they’ve refined it into something unshakeable and authentic.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Wellness provider who specializes in achieving surgical-like body transformations through completely non-invasive methods. As a certified Ayurvedic practitioner and wellness educator, I combine ancient wisdom with cutting-edge therapies – from fascia regenerative work and body sculpting to PEMF technologies and advanced meditation techniques.
What I’m known for? Being the practitioner who gets results when nothing else works. My expertise spans multiple certifications – massage therapy, NLP, Silva Method, and I’m also an ordained minister – allowing me to address the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of healing simultaneously. Clients come to me for body sculpting but leave with transformed lives because I treat the whole person, not just symptoms.
My specialization in fascia regenerative therapy sets me apart. I understand that fascia holds both physical tension and emotional trauma, so my bodywork goes deeper than typical massage. Combined with PEMF therapies that accelerate cellular healing and NLP techniques that reprogram limiting beliefs, I offer a truly integrated approach you won’t find elsewhere.
We believe that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and we strive to facilitate that process Munay – but I don’t just believe it, I prove it daily. As a VA provider, I’m proud to serve veterans with the same holistic care. What sets me apart is simple: I don’t make you choose between science and spirit, between modern technology and ancient wisdom. At Munay Health, you get both.
I’m most proud of creating a sanctuary where women learn to become their own healers. Every session is educational – clients leave understanding their Ayurvedic constitution, why their body responds certain ways, and with practical tools for maintaining balance. When someone tells me they’ve finally found relief after years of searching, that’s when I know I’m living my purpose.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most profound lesson I’ve learned is that true healing requires radical self-love – and you cannot give what you don’t possess. As a third-generation wellness provider, I grew up believing that serving others meant sacrificing yourself. I watched my grandmother and mother pour everything into their clients while neglecting their own needs, and I followed that pattern until my own body forced me to stop.
Through my practice combining Ayurvedic wisdom, fascia work, NLP, and spiritual guidance, I discovered that when we operate from depletion, we’re not truly serving anyone. The breakthrough came when I realized that Munay – the energy of love that flows freely Munay – must flow through us first before it can flow to others. Self-care isn’t selfish; it’s the foundation of sustainable healing work.
This lesson transformed everything. Now, when I teach meditation through the Silva Method or guide clients through body sculpting and fascia regenerative therapy, I’m not just sharing techniques – I’m modeling what it looks like to honor your own vessel. My PEMF therapy sessions, my Ayurvedic protocols, my daily meditation practice – these aren’t just services I offer, they’re practices I live.
The most powerful healing happens when clients realize they don’t need to be “fixed” – they need to return to loving themselves. Whether I’m using NLP to reprogram limiting beliefs or performing deep tissue work to release stored trauma, the underlying message is the same: you are worthy of the same compassion you give others. As an ordained minister and wellness educator, I’ve learned that this principle transcends all modalities and traditions.
This lesson of self-love as medicine isn’t just philosophy – it’s practical. When clients commit to their own care with the same dedication they show their families or careers, transformation becomes inevitable. That’s why my practice focuses so heavily on education and empowerment. The greatest gift I can give isn’t just a treatment; it’s permission and tools to prioritize their own wellbeing without guilt.
