Hi Jacobie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a young and talented stylist, MUA, and lash professional originally from Galveston Island, Texas. I’m currently flourishing in Orange County, California, but my journey has taken me all around the world — from Italy to Oklahoma, Houston, Georgia, Florida, and now the West Coast.
I founded The Couture Lifestyle in 2010 during my sophomore year of high school, and since then, it’s become much more than a brand — it’s a movement built on love, inspiration, and empowerment through beauty.
Over the years, I’ve been blessed to touch the lives of so many amazing clients and creatives, and my vision continues to grow. Recently, I expanded The Couture Lifestyle by opening my second salon location in Alvin, Texas — proudly the city’s first Black-owned salon. Watching both locations thrive on opposite ends of the country has been such a rewarding experience, and I’m grateful to keep inspiring others to embrace confidence, creativity, and couture every day.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Every success story has its storms, and I’ve faced my share. Juggling motherhood, marriage, and business has tested me, but through it all, God’s grace has been my steady foundation.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the growth — from starting as a young stylist with a dream to now owning two thriving salons, including the first Black-owned salon in Alvin, Texas. It’s proof that faith, hard work, and consistency truly pay off.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
First and foremost, I give all credit to God because without Him, none of this would be possible. The gift I have, the vision, and the strength to keep going all come from Him.
I also have to thank my husband for being my biggest supporter and making it easy for me to succeed. He’s my rock and the balance I need when things get hectic. My kids are another huge part of my “why.” They push me to go harder every single day and remind me why giving up is never an option.
And of course, I’m forever grateful for my amazing clients. Without them, The Couture Lifestyle wouldn’t exist. They trust me, believe in my craft, and continue to grow with me through every chapter. Their loyalty and love mean everything to me, and they’re the reason I strive to make this brand better every single day.
