Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Rodriguez.
Hi Tony, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, my name is Tony Rodriguez. I am a proud U.S. Army veteran with over 25 years of service, retiring in 2005. Beyond my military career, I am a dedicated father, grandfather, husband, and active member of our community.
Raised in Northeast Los Angeles and a graduate of Franklin High School, I moved to Tujunga, California, in 1994. My commitment to community service led me to serve on the State Disability Board for the Regional Center in Pomona/San Gabriel Valley, where I was deeply involved in the self-determination program. This experience highlighted the challenges many face in advocating for others, strengthening my resolve to make a difference.
I actively participate in community beautification projects and volunteer with organizations dedicated to assisting those in need. Professionally, I am part of the founding team at Lead Staffing, a company established in 2011 that connects individuals with employment opportunities at no cost to them. Since our inception, we’ve expanded to become a nationwide organization, helping countless individuals find meaningful work. We have recently expanded into a new division called Lead Mission Critical, which I am a proud member of. I am also a candidate for Los Angeles City Council District 7.
As your neighbor, I am committed to fostering a supportive and thriving community for all.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Never a smooth road for anything worth fighting for. My favorite quote is “The key to success is to focus on goals, not obstacles” by unknown
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work focuses on connecting people with job opportunities, whether temporary or full-time, with a specialization in the construction industry. What I am most proud of is my grandchildren and the chance to help others find meaningful work, making a positive difference in their lives. What sets me apart is that I don’t have a personal agenda—I simply want to help people succeed.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
