Today we’d like to introduce you to Berlin Marroquin.
Hi Berlin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Inspirational Biography – Berlin Marroquin & Suleyma Morales
From Young Motherhood to Building a Legacy of Care
When Berlin Marroquin and Suleyma Morales became mothers at a young age, they faced what many new mothers know all too well—the joy of welcoming new life, paired with the uncertainty, exhaustion, and lack of support that often follows after leaving the hospital.
While many of their peers were focused on school, friends, and discovering themselves, Berlin and Suleyma were learning how to nurture another human being. “We were growing up while raising our babies,” Berlin recalls. “It wasn’t easy, but it gave us strength and purpose.”
Their experiences as young mothers opened their eyes to the gaps in care that families face, especially first-time parents. Too often, mothers are discharged from the hospital without the emotional and practical support they truly need. This realization planted a seed in both women: what if they could be the support they once wished for?
They began providing childcare early on, a natural extension of the roles they already knew so well. Over time, that work grew into a passion and eventually a calling. Determined to make a difference, they pursued education in postpartum recovery, newborn care, breastfeeding, and sleep training.
What started as two mothers helping others in their community blossomed into a career that now empowers countless families. Together, they founded Sweet Dream Babies, a service that has grown into a team of doulas, night care specialists, and breastfeeding educators serving the greater Los Angeles area.
Their philosophy is simple but powerful: care should extend beyond the baby. “Families thrive when everyone is supported—moms, dads, and the little ones,” Suleyma explains. “When parents feel confident and cared for, babies feel it too.”
One of the most profound impacts of postpartum care, they emphasize, is its role in easing sleep deprivation, postpartum depression, and anxiety. With consistent support—whether through rest, reassurance, or hands-on education—new parents begin to feel not only rested but also capable and prepared for parenthood. “Parents are already capable,” Berlin says. “With the right education and encouragement, they learn to trust their natural parental instincts and discover the confidence they already hold within themselves.”
Their care often extends between 4 to 12 weeks, depending on each family’s needs. By the time they complete their work in a home, parents have not only gained rest but also the knowledge and confidence to continue the journey on their own.
With more than 12 years of childcare experience and 8+ years of dedicated postpartum and newborn care, Berlin and Suleyma have built more than a business—they’ve built a movement of compassion, cultural understanding, and family-centered support. They also design care packages tailored to each family’s needs and backgrounds, helping parents take full advantage of resources such as postpartum care insurance, which many families don’t realize they can access.
For Berlin and Suleyma, this work is deeply personal. It’s a reflection of their own journeys, their resilience, and their desire to create what they once longed for as young mothers: a circle of care that allows families to rest, recover, and truly enjoy the early days of parenthood.
Their story is proof that hardship can become a gift, and challenges can spark purpose. From young mothers finding their way to leaders transforming postpartum care in Los Angeles, Berlin and Suleyma are not just newborn specialists and postpartum doulas—they are changemakers, reminding families everywhere that they are never alone.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been an easy road. Our journey has required continuous training, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to our values. Over the years, we’ve worked hard to maintain strong ethics, to honor the trust parents place in us, and to provide the very best care, resources, and confidence to every family we serve.
The field of postpartum and newborn care is filled with competition, but we truly believe our services stand apart. What makes us different is not only our professional training, but also the way we care for each family as if they were our own. Our approach is deeply personal—we provide support with the same love, respect, and attentiveness that we would give to our closest family members.
For us, this is more than a career—it’s a calling. Our goal has always been to bring comfort, knowledge, and peace of mind to families, helping them feel supported and empowered during one of the most transformative seasons of life.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We specialize in postpartum recovery, postpartum care, newborn care, parent education, and breastfeeding support. Our work is rooted in the belief that every parent deserves guidance, reassurance, and compassionate care during the early stages of parenthood.
Our vision is to continue this journey with the hope of eventually making these services accessible to all new parents—including those with limited financial resources—by working with insurance providers. What once began with parents not even knowing such services existed has now grown into one of the most requested forms of support across the United States.
We are most proud of the families we have served and the trust we have built over the years. Through ongoing communication, education, and support, we’ve had the privilege of guiding parents not only with their first baby, but also through their second and third. That continued connection is the greatest sign of success and the heart of why we do this work.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
We want to tell anyone out there with a vision: make it a reality. The only business that truly fails is the one you never start. Every setback, every mistake, is an opportunity—it teaches you the beauty of learning, refining, and approaching things in a better way.
Even if others are doing something similar, it’s your personality, passion, hard work, and determination that will set you apart. We believe in the saying that the sun comes out for everyone—there is light, opportunity, and space in this world for everyone to succeed.
With the right purpose, dedication, and belief in yourself, anyone can become a great leader and entrepreneur. Challenges will come, but they only make your journey stronger, your approach wiser, and your success more meaningful.
And of course, it is with a pure purpose and by the hand of God, the universe, and life, always being thankful to them, that we are guided every step of the way.
