Check Out LIL MILE’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to LIL MILE.

LIL MILE, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I actually started my journey through sports — I was playing college basketball in the U.S., which gave me the chance to live and grow in a completely different culture. While I was focused on the game, music was always in the background — writing, experimenting, and absorbing all the sounds around me. Being in America opened my ears to new styles and helped me find my voice as an artist. Eventually, that passion became something I couldn’t ignore anymore. I started recording seriously, blending my Italian roots with international influences — English, Spanish, even some Latin rhythms. Bit by bit, I built my sound, collaborated with artists from different parts of the world, and now I’m fully in this — living between Italy and the U.S., making music that connects both sides of who I am

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been easy. Moving to the U.S. alone, balancing basketball and music, starting from zero — all of that came with pressure and setbacks. But every struggle taught me something. It built my mindset and made me hungrier to grow as an artist.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an artist and songwriter who blends cultures — Italian roots, American influence, Latin vibes — into a unique sound. I write and perform in multiple languages, and I always keep it authentic. I’m proud to say I’m a member of the Recording Academy, and this year I even received a Grammy nomination — which is a huge milestone for me. What sets me apart is that I’m not chasing trends; I’m building my own lane, staying true to who I am while connecting with a global audience.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Consistency. Talent is important, but without discipline and consistency, it doesn’t mean much. I treat this like a craft — I show up every day, even when it’s hard. That mindset, combined with staying true to myself, has been the key to everything I’ve achieved so far.
