Hi Olivia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I got hooked on journalism at 15 when I wrote a front-page exposé for my local newspaper. That early experience of telling a story that made an impact fueled my passion for journalism.

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked as a journalist, reporter, producer and media executive across outlets like CNN, ABC News, Good Morning America and ABC7 in Los Angeles, where I helped launch new digital teams and storytelling initiatives.

I founded Media Consulting Coaches to help executives, entrepreneurs and creatives build confidence on camera, craft compelling messages and harness AI and digital tools to stand out. Our clients range from institutions like USC and the United Nations to individual professionals.

In many ways, my journey has come full circle – from that first newspaper story to teaching others how to share their stories.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been pretty smooth! There are always challenges – learning new tools, spending hours on a story only to see it killed. But those hurdles are what make you a sharper and stronger storyteller.

Media Consulting Coaches is all about helping people master the art of communication and presence. We provide media training, executive coaching, on-camera presentation skills, public speaking, pitching to media, content creation workshops & AI strategy sessions.

What makes us unique is the depth of experience we bring. I know firsthand how stories get told, how decisions are made in newsrooms, and what resonates with audiences. That insider perspective, combined with a modern approach that integrates AI tools, digital strategy and storytelling innovation, sets our coaching apart.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built with a wide range of clients, from large organizations to reporters, actors, entrepreneurs, influencers and executives. Many of them have gone on to land national media appearances, secure promotions or expand their platforms in meaningful ways.

At its core, our brand is about empowerment. We want readers to know that whether you’re preparing for a big media interview, looking to sharpen your public speaking skills or wanting to stand out in a crowded digital space, we offer tailored strategies and training to help you step into the spotlight with confidence and authenticity.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was naturally curious and loved asking questions, which, looking back, was the perfect setup for a career in journalism. I always wanted to know why things worked the way they did, and I loved writing stories, whether it was for my school newspaper or just for fun.
