Daily Inspiration: Meet Andrew And Jennifer Marshall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew And Jennifer Marshall.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We started business at the beginning of 2025. Dr. Marshall previously did home-visits for a couple of years, and Jenny worked as a technician at brick and mortar clinics. The husband and wife-duo that is Roam Vet was formed out of a desire to provide high quality, comfortable at-home pet care with a personal touch. Having experienced the shortcomings and investor-driven decision-making that can come with corporate-owned medical practices, we are private, veterinary and family-owned. Our goal is to provide compassionate, individualized care for dogs and cats big and small, outgoing or anxious, old and young. We plan to add a mobile unit for x-rays and surgical procedures in the future, but for now we purely operate in the comfort of the pets’ homes. We provide physical exams, vaccinations, treatments, specialty services (we work with internal medicine specialists and cardiologists who can come to the home as well), labwork, etc. We don’t provide but we also help to coordinate emergency and other specialty consults when necessary. We are starting to get busy and look forward to growing our care-centric practice!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The patient-care, fighting LA traffic, and doing right by the amazing pet parents of Los Angeles has been exceptionally smooth and gratifying. The most difficult thing for us has been to get the word out. There are so many clinics in Los Angeles and quite a few great mobile practices, but word of mouth is traveling far and really helping. With little to no business or advertising background, that has been a bit of trial by fire. Tell your friends and family about Roam Vet!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Dr. Andrew Marshall is a general practice vet, originally from Manhattan Beach, CA. He studied at Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona. He has a passion for nutrition, cardiology and chronic disease management. He has worked at various brick and mortar clinics, and has done home visits for several years. He also spent time working with JustFoodForDogs on custom diet formulation. Jenny and Dr. Marshall love being able to provide compassionate care, spending time educating clients about what is best for their beloved pets, from their nose to their tail. They believe that the bond between owners and their fur-babies is sacred, take pride in meeting clients where they are. Because health insurance for pets isn’t as accessible as it should be, they know that the financial aspect of pet care is an extremely important one. Whether pet parents are able to pursue extensive gold-standard diagnostics and specialty care, or only presumptive treatment, they are willing to have those conversations. Most of all, they want to strengthen that human-animal bond and empower their clients to take an active role in the health of their pets, and improve their lives for as long as possible.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
For both of us, the most important lesson has been that every pet and pet owner is unique. A lot of the patients we see are extremely anxious and as result, can be aggressive. Working with them, finding their triggers and tailoring the best ways to work with them results in cats and dogs that haven’t had medical care for many years finally being able to.
