Story & Lesson Highlights with Hardy Vibert of Hollywood

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Hardy Vibert. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Hardy, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
The most surprising thing I’ve learned about my customers at PHH Hospitality is how deeply they value genuine, long-term relationships over fleeting experiences. While nightlife is often seen as a fast-paced, transactional industry, I’ve found that clients, especially high-profile ones, crave consistent, personalized service that makes them feel truly valued. For example, I was amazed to discover how much clients appreciate small, thoughtful gestures, like remembering their preferences or checking in after an event, which can turn a one-time guest into a loyal patron for years. This insight has shaped how I build trust and maintain connections, ensuring every interaction feels authentic and memorable.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Hardy Vibert, the founder of PHH Hospitality Group, based in the vibrant heart of Hollywood, California. I’ve spent the last 11 years building PHH into a powerhouse for elite VIP hosting, bottle service, and unforgettable events across LA’s top venues. What sets PHH Hospitality Group apart is our obsession with making every client feel like a VIP, not just for a night, but for years to come. We craft experiences that blend high-energy fun with personal touches, whether it’s a glitzy corporate event or an exclusive night out with A-listers.

Beyond the nightlife grind, I’m also steering Vibe Investments, a real estate venture I launched six years ago. Fueled by the connections I’ve made in hospitality, Vibe Investment focuses on Buy & Hold properties and seizing smart investment opportunities to build lasting wealth. My journey’s been about hustle, heart, and knowing how to read the room. Right now, I’m fired up about taking PHH Hospitality Group to new levels, locking in bigger real estate deals through Vibe Investment , and sharing my take on entrepreneurship through podcasts and speaking gigs. If you’re ready to make your next LA event legendary or explore some sharp investment moves, let’s talk I’m all about creating moments that stick.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
In my 11 years running PHH Hospitality Group, I’ve seen how bonds between people, whether clients, partners, or friends, can make or break an experience in this wild nightlife world. What breaks those bonds? It’s usually a lack of trust or communication. In my line of work, if you overpromise and underdeliver, say, a VIP night falls flat because the details weren’t locked in ,people feel let down, and that trust erodes fast. Misunderstandings, like not listening to what a client really wants or assuming you know their vibe, can create distance. I’ve also seen egos clash in high-stakes settings, where someone’s need to flex status pulls focus from the shared moment. Even in my real estate work with Vibe Investments, deals can sour when folks aren’t transparent about their goals or cut corners.

Restoring those bonds? That’s where the magic happens. It starts with owning your mistakes, being real and saying, “Hey, we dropped the ball, let’s make it right.” A genuine apology paired with action, like comping a service or going all out to fix an experience, rebuilds trust. Listening is huge; I make it a point to hear clients out, whether they’re venting or sharing their vision, so they feel valued. In nightlife, throwing in a personal touch, like remembering a client’s favorite drink or setting up a surprise moment, can turn a fractured bond into something stronger. With Vibe Investments, it’s about clear communication and delivering consistent results to bring people back to the table. At the core, it’s about showing up with integrity and proving you’re invested in the relationship, not just the outcome. That’s what keeps people coming back to PHH for the past 11 years and what fuels every deal I make.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I’ve had my share of highs and lows. Success is great, it fuels confidence and opens doors, but suffering? That’s the real teacher. When I hit rough patches, like a slow season at the club where half the tables didn’t show despite top-tier promoters, or when a contractor botched a roof job on a property, leaving me with rain-damaged units and a lawsuit, I learned lessons success never could’ve taught me. Suffering showed me resilience, how to keep pushing when the vibe’s off and the odds feel stacked against you. It taught me to lean into relationships, like mentoring a struggling promoter through a tough night with a pep talk, reminding them we’re in it for the long haul. Those moments forced me to get creative, whether it was rethinking outreach to fill tables or finding new ways to fund repairs while navigating legal headaches.

Success can make you feel invincible, but suffering humbles you and sharpens your focus on what matters: trust, adaptability, and staying grounded. It’s why I stick to routines like daily gym sessions and client follow-ups, even when the nightlife chaos or a bad deal tries to throw me off. Suffering taught me that setbacks aren’t the end, they’re just the setup for a stronger comeback. That’s what keeps PHH Hospitality Group delivering epic nights and Vibe Investment closing smarter deals.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The project I’m devoted to, no matter how long it takes, is becoming a better version of myself every single day. For me, growth is about showing up consistently, whether it’s hitting the gym to sharpen my focus, reading to expand my perspective, or checking in with people who matter to keep those connections strong. Life throws challenges, moments where plans unravel or self-doubt creeps in, but those are the times that teach you to dig deeper. I’ve learned that small, deliberate steps, like reflecting on what went right or wrong each day, build resilience and clarity that no shortcut can match.

This commitment is my compass. It’s about staying curious, owning my mistakes, and always seeking ways to grow, mentally, physically, emotionally. Some days it’s as simple as pushing through a tough workout to prove I can; others, it’s listening to someone’s perspective to challenge my own. I’m in it for the long haul because I believe betting on yourself daily doesn’t just change you, it inspires others to do the same. That’s the legacy I want to build, one day at a time.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’ve always believed I’m doing what I was born to do. From a young age, I had a natural gift for connecting with people, whether it was bonding with classmates in high school or bringing together teammates from football, hockey, basketball, and track at my mother’s house for back-to-back house parties. Those early days of hosting weren’t just about fun; they were about creating spaces where people felt welcomed and united, something that came instinctively to me. Through high school and beyond, I honed that ability to build relationships quickly, making friends and fostering trust with ease, whether in casual settings or more formal ones.

That sense of purpose carried me forward. When I founded my hospitality company, it felt like stepping into a role I was destined for, bringing people together, curating experiences, and making every moment count. It’s not about following someone else’s playbook or doing what I was told; it’s about leaning into what’s always driven me: forging connections and creating environments where people thrive. I’m committed to growing that gift every day, whether through a thoughtful conversation or a perfectly executed event. For me, this isn’t just a career, it’s who I am, and I’m all in on living it out.
