Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Elizabeth Fraley of Los Angeles

Elizabeth Fraley shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeth , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: When was the last time you felt true joy?
A moment when I experienced joy was watching a student of mine learn to read for the first time. They had spend so much time learning sight words and phonics and suddenly, they were able to crack the phonetic code and started to read. It was an exciting moment for the child and their family!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Kinder Ready and Elementary Wise is a program that promotes learning, excellence, and determination in learners. Students will typically engage in a weekly class to reinforce class learning and build confidence in subject areas of interest.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
One of my professors Dr. Keith Allred, taught me the most about research, work ethic, and developing routines in my learning to make the most of my assignments.

Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
A time someone truly listened to me was a family that was applying out for Kindergarten. The family listened to me as I gave recomendations about the type of learning philosophies their child responded to. We were able to map out a list of 4 schools and they were successfully admitted through hard work, dedication, and time spent.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A project I am committed to is seeing each child I work with shine. Some children have academic goals and or social goals. I am committed to helping the child reach and meet their goals, enjoy the learning process, and have takeaways to help shape their future in a positive way.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Many people are still understanding and grasping the idea of early learning. Learning is such a personal aspect of life but it really is important to start early intervention with kindergarten readiness. There are many teachable and organic yet spontaneous ways to teach a child and can be build into your daily routines.
