Community Highlights: Meet Talisa Joelle of Talisa Joelle Health

Today we’d like to introduce you to Talisa Joelle.

Hi Talisa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey to gut health coaching began with my own chronic gut issues & health symptoms. For many years I felt frustrated with experiencing a one-size-fits-all approach to my health — being told everything looked normal on paper while still not feeling like myself, not being able to live a normal live, eat out, enjoy vacations or have the energy to do the things that I wanted. That experience sparked a passion to figure out what was really going on underneath the surface and finally find answers for myself.

I immersed myself in holistic nutrition, herbalism & the science of our microbiome (the bacteria that live in our gut), learning from many different mentors and global thought-leaders. Over the course of 10 years, my passion became my profession and I created Talisa Joelle Health to help other women finally get to a better place with their gut health, stop dealing with daily, often embarrassing gut symptoms that keep them from living their lives.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all — but every challenge has shaped how I work with women and run my business today.

My own personal health journey was long and winding. I invested a lot of money in conventional approaches and even holistic ones – without relief. I understand what’s it like to feel hopeless about your gut issues, like things just won’t change.

I learned that a lot of what’s being promoted around gut health isn’t helpful for women long-term and there are a lot of “band-aid” fixes that unfortunately get women in a tougher spot with even more symptoms later on.

Typically the women I work with have already tried eliminating foods and taking medications or supplements. They’re left wondering what’s wrong with them when their symptoms won’t go away despite doing everything right. The holistic health space can be also be quite confusing for them to navigate, so I help women understand how to easily apply evidence-based practices to gut health and how they can finally get to a better place.

There were also the usual entrepreneurial hurdles — building a business from scratch, wearing every hat, and learning how to balance passion with sustainability. But the struggles have made me more intentional, more resourceful and more committed to creating a business that makes a real positive impact in women’s lives.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Talisa Joelle Health is a practice that helps women overcome gut issues like IBS and SIBO without restrictive diets — so they can eat freely, enjoy life and truly feel like themselves again.

We specialize in microbiome restoration and data-driven, personalized support that works with the body rather than against it.

What sets us apart is our root-cause approach and the fact that we focus on the “how” of gut health just as much as the “what” — ensuring clients feel supported every step of the way. This is truly the key to success.

I’m most proud of creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Healing isn’t linear, but seeing women reclaim their health, confidence and joy is the best reminder of why I do this work.

What does success mean to you?
For me, it’s not about chasing a specific milestone. It’s about knowing I’m making a meaningful impact and that the work I do feels good on the inside. Success is doing work I believe in and the ripple effect that has in the world.

When one woman overcomes gut issues, she becomes a more present partner, friend, parent, co-worker. When we work to improve a woman’s microbiome, she can pass that on to the next generation and improve their long-term health outcomes as well.
