We’re looking forward to introducing you to Zusha Goldin. Check out our conversation below.
Zusha, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
In the fear of sounding absolutely arrogant, I truly wish more and more people find out about my photography and service, because I see firsthand how much confidence, high ticket selling, and money come into my clients’ lives after working with me. I offer a unique blend of photos that actually convert, and a precision-driven, personalized experience that transforms.
I absolutely would hire myself.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey, I’m Zusha Goldin. I’m a Los Angeles based expert personal branding photographer, heIping ambitious leaders look as powerful as they are.
It pains me that people often hate how they look in their photos. My solution is to provide a session engineered to position people as the most confident, credible version of themselves.
I create a safe and genuinely fun environment where my clients leave with not only amazing photos that they are proud to share, but with a big confidence boost.
My superpower? Leading with empathy and truly connecting with the people I work with, making them look powerful in every frame.
I’m also a nonprofit founder having recently launched Artists for Unity, dedicated to empowering the next generation of Jewish creatives.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
It takes a lot of strength not to run away from your shame and innermost uncomfortable feelings. Having the ability to sit in the discomfort separates some from most. There are a few things that destroy a bond:
1. When one person doesn’t effectively communicate how they feel, thus resulting in feeling invalidated and a buildup of resentment and contempt.
2. When one person cannot take accountability and sit in the discomfort of how they hurt the other.
3. When one person has people pleasing patterns and succumbs to the whims and wishes of the other without boundary setting or proper communication.
And what restores a bond is when both parties come to the table with the interest in mutual repair, accountability, apology, validation, and behaviorial change.
Ultimately, the grass is greener where you water it, and it takes two to tango.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there have been many a time when I almost gave up. Things went awry, plans fell through, celebrity shoots got canceled, and bills came pouring in. It is incredibly difficult to stay motivated when a lot of unpleasant things happen one after the other. If you don’t have a safety net and you must self-sustain, it can be really hard to have the grit and internal courage to continue.
But when you want it THAT bad. You continue. You don’t back down. You do what you must. Your dreams and dream life is worth it.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My friends would say that I value trying to always do the right thing, treating everyone with kindness and respect, giving benefit of the doubt to others, creating real life change for my clients, and relationship building. I believe relationships are what make life worth living and its the relationships with your family, friends, significant other, and community that truly matters.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I understand human nature. I understand human behavior based on patterns and history. I understand how most people, if in the right environment want to do good and will excel. I understand that everything in life comes with a price, and the choices we make are the choices we choose. It’s very empowering to truly understand this.
