Hi Los Feliz Music and Art Conservatory, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Louder LA was established in 2021 and began with offering one on one, in person or online lessons for students of all ages. In November of 2024, we opened our first brick and mortar location for our school in Los Feliz, Los Angeles – the Los Feliz Music and Art Conservatory, a space for group classes in music, art, and languages, as well as a studio space for private lessons.
We aim to open the door for meaningful connections between our students and our instructors who are highly qualified, experienced, and passionate about bringing a personalized and enjoyable approach.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building Louder LA and the Los Feliz Music and Art Conservatory has been a long journey and we are still developing! There have certainly been challenges. We are a small business with a small team, and we try to put our integrity first and prioritize paying our instructors fair wages and creating a really welcoming environment for our students. Maintaining a focus on integrity, fair wages, and a soft and welcoming, well put together environment does often bring challenges and requires a lot of constant care and attention, but we have some true powerhouses holding us up and working behind the scenes to keep things growing and blooming!

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Advice we’ve gotten from other businesses and business owners was helpful, but most of how we put Louder together and started the Los Feliz Conservatory has come from listening to our students and drawing from our own perspectives as artists and musicians. We are all growing as we try to create a space for our students to grow, and thinking with a mindset of sustainability and kindness for our students is usually what leads us to our next steps.
