Hi Artistry Edge, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After completing an Art Master’s program, the founder Chenyang Nie witnessed firsthand how many incredibly talented artists struggled to gain the exposure they deserved. Many lacked the platforms or support to showcase their work to the right audiences. Motivated by this, she founded the organization in 2024 with a mission to fully support emerging artists. We began by helping local artists in Los Angeles build and refine their portfolios, and since then, we’ve expanded to accept applications and projects from artists based in New York, as well as select international artists from China.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We started by offering portfolio-building programs and conducting interviews with our selected artists every six months to track their progress and provide tailored support. From there, we launched our exhibition program, which creates opportunities for artists to present their work through both solo and group exhibitions. In the beginning, many venues were hesitant—some questioned whether our emerging artists were ready or doubted the impact we could make. But over time, through consistent effort and quality programming, we’ve built long-term partnerships with venues that not only collaborate with us regularly but also genuinely appreciate and support the talent of our artists.

At Artistry Edge, we don’t tell our artists what they should create or suggest that doing certain things will “boost” their careers. Instead, we listen closely to their passions and help amplify their voices to the right audiences. We tailor individualized plans and curate exhibitions that highlight their unique artistic identities, helping them feel confident in their creative direction and supported on their journey.
Our mission is to empower art students and recent graduates by providing an inclusive platform where they can refine their craft and navigate the transition from academia to the professional art world. We aim to bridge the gap between talent and recognition—ensuring that no piece of art is left unfinished or overlooked. Through professional support, meaningful exposure, and industry guidance, we equip emerging artists with the tools, confidence, and competitive edge needed to thrive in their careers.

Our goal is to connect them with the right audiences and provide the support they need to take their first steps into the art world with confidence. We understand how difficult it can be for emerging artists to navigate this journey on their own, and we’re deeply committed to making sure their talent doesn’t go unseen. It’s heartbreaking to witness promising artists lose their momentum after a few years simply because they lacked the right opportunities. That’s why we’re here—to ensure their creativity continues to shine and grow.
