Meet Sophia Dashing of Los Angeles, CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophia Dashing.

Hi Sophia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been performing, singing and dancing since I was six years old. Everyone knew me as the little girl who couldn’t stop singing and dancing! I would write songs and ask anybody and everybody if they wanted to hear them. I loved being on stage and in front of the camera. I started dancing at the Atlanta dance studios and soon got discovered in class and signed to Bloc South Talent Agency. I sang in local choirs as well and tried to emerge myself in my passions since I was super young. I’m very blessed and grateful to know what I wanted to pursue since a young age. I moved to Los Angeles last summer, and have been growing my team and management here since. This May is officially 4 years of releasing music independently. I’m really proud of my journey thus far and cannot wait to expand.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not, haha. But, that’s where you gain the most intel / insight. Hardship brings strength. Which is needed in this industry. I love the saying “You can’t take the elevator – you gotta take the stairs!” Because it’s so so true. There is no such thing as overnight success. It’s what you learn along the way that truly matters and a lot of that comes from the hard moments! But I believe in loving what you do – the hard moments are easy to move past.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer-songwriter and dancer based in Los Angeles, CA. I am gearing up to release my brand new single, “PHENOMENON” on May 23rd, 2025. A high-octane, dance-pop-infused club banger that celebrates freedom, confidence, and living and living in the moment. The song has pulsing beats, fierce lyrics, and unapologetic sensuality, “PHENOMENON” is the ultimate anthem for anyone who refuses to let the night end. I’m super proud of the music I created last year in 2024, and this is the year we’ll be putting everything out! I am also working on my EP – which I’m so excited to release.

What’s next?
I cannot wait to perform this year. I grew up a professional dancer and absolutely love dancing, creating and building a show with choreography and seeing what songs truly come to life on stage. It’s one of the best parts about what I do. 2025 is going to be an amazing year!
